Wow! Is it just me, or did July just zoom on by? I was crazy busy last month with work and as a result, I wasn’t able to test out as many new products as I would have liked. There were however four products that really stuck out for me this month and that’s what we will be talking about today!
ZOEVA 142 CONCEALER BUFFER BRUSH – $19.00
I mentioned in last month’s favourites my current concealer and powder duo. That duo has now become a trio because I have been using this brush pretty much every time I use concealer now. I find that as opposed to a sponge, it makes the concealer spread out further so I can use less of it and I’m able to blend my concealer into parts of my face that a sponge can’t reach particularly well like my nose and the inner corners of my eyes. I also love this brush for blending out cream highlighter.
FACE BY R PORE PERFECTING FACE PRIMER – $38.00
A good pore filling primer is an essential for me and I fell in love with this one pretty much instantly. The consistency is unlike any other pore filling primer I have ever used. It smooths out the skin but it doesn’t leave it felling heavy or slippery and it makes whatever foundation I wear blend out perfectly. It’s also oil free, which is a huge plus for me. I cannot wait to try more from Face By R.
*Emmie’s note* Unfortunately, you can only buy this primer here in Mount Isa (Face By R is a locally developed makeup range) but they are working on making an online store soon.
BUDDY SCRUB RAW CACAO & SWEET ORANGE BODY SCRUB – $15.95
I won’t beat around the bush, it has been butt cold here in The Isa (-4 cold), and my skin has been a scaly mess as a result. Enter, Buddy Scrubs! It’s a sea salt and sugar based scrub, which is my favourite kind of scrub to use because I find them to be way more effective at exfoliating. But it’s also super moisturising as well. The final point in it’s favour? The cacao and sweet orange scrub smells just like Jaffa Cakes and the scent lingers on the body. Which I freaking love. I’ve actually run out of this scrub right now but I will absolutely be buying this again!
MECCA MAX BEAUTY QUEEN EYESHADOW PALETTE – $38.00
I’ve seen this particular palette in a lot of peoples favourites this month and for good reason, it’s pretty freaking amazing! While I haven’t ventured too much with the darker shades, I have been using the lighter shades pretty much every day since I got it. They all blend out beautifully and they last really well on my skin. If you have been on the fence about this palette, you should totally grab it while you still can!
And that’s it for July! Hopefully August is a bit more chill. Let me know what products you loved down below!
Cheers and love
Emmie xo
