Spotlight On: Summer Lips

If you have been following me on social media for any length of time, you would know that to me, a good nude lipstick is the best accessory anyone can have. And I always have a handbag full of them at any one time. During the warmer months though, I’m far more drawn to comfortable lipsticks that don’t dry out my lips. And these five lip product are perfect for day and night, no matter the occasion.

MAYBELLINE SUPER STAY MATTE INK – $19.95
I have done a full review on these lipsticks before (you can find it here), but I’m still totally in love with them! While the formula never quite feels like it’s dried down, it doesn’t budge. Making it a great lip for day to night!

AUSTRALIS GRL BOSS DEMI MATTE LIPSTICK – $14.95
These are truly unlike any liquid lipstick I have ever used! They go on like a pigmented gloss, but over time they settle into the most comfortable matte finish. They also have the largest shade range of all of the lipsticks I’ll be mentioning here (50 shades!) so you’re bound to find a shade that will work for you!

TOO FACED MELTED MATTE LIQUID LIP – $30.00
If you want a liquid lip that doesn’t quit, these are the real deal! They are probably one of the most comfortable liquid lipsticks on the market today and they are totally budge proof! There is no flaking, transfer or uneven fading with these. They are that good.

TARTE COLOUR SPLASH LIPSTICK – $32.00
The packaging of these lipsticks scream summer to me! And even though it isn’t the longest lasting lipstick (traditional bullet lipsticks tend not to be), you just cannot go past how comfortable, pigmented and creamy these are on the lips! Also, if your aren’t necessarily a matte lip fan, these settle to more of a satin finish.

MECCA COSMETICA LIP DE LUSCIOUS – $28.00
During summer, we need to protect our lips from the sun as well as the rest of our face. And the Mecca Cosmetica Lip De Luscious has been my secret weapon for many years. It has SPF 25, Vitamin E and Shea Butter to help heal and protect the lips. I use this throughout the day as just a regular lip balm. And at night, I’ll put a good thick layer on my lips for an instant lip mask.
