I tend to have two personality traits when it comes to my lips. I’m either all nude, all the time. Or I’m wearing the sparkiest, shimmery, out there coloured gloss. And my favourite shade of gloss to wear actually happens to be blue. Not only do blue glosses have the most gorgeous reflect, they can also be useful on those occasions where I’m wearing too warm a lip (orange+blue=neutral). I have quite a few blue glosses that I have in regular rotation. And for a little bit of fun, I figured I would show you some of my favourites. Some are newer picks, others I’ve had for ages. But all of them are stunning in their own way.
BARRY M GLAZED PEPTIDE LIP OIL in SO NOSTALGIC – $16.99
Full disclosure, this is the most recent addition to my collection, shade wise. But I have a few of the Peptide Lip Oils, specifically the plumping ones. And I adore this formula. It feels so cushiony soft on the lips. And no matter how much I build it up, I can’t feel the glitter. The reflect is also stunning. A fun, bright blue. I cannot believe that these are under $20.
TRIXIE COSMETICS LIP GLOSS in VEGAN AGENDA – $30.00

Fun fact, this was the gloss that sparked the collection. The glosses from Trixie Cosmetics are really something special. I mean, would you look at that pigment? This is a blue, sparkly gloss that means business. I love this paired with a deep brown shade so that blue really stands out.
TOO FACED KISSING JELLY LIP OIL GLOSS in SWEET COTTON CANDY – $38.00
A pick for my non shimmery girls, the Kissing Jelly Oil Glosses from Too Faced are just so fun. And they have the added bonus of being super nourishing on the lips. They are not too slippery, not too sticky. This formula is just right!
MAC COSMETICS SQUIRT PLUMPING GLOSS STICK in NOVA – $40.00
For my fans of plump, the Squirt Gloss Sticks are where it’s at. These were viral a few years ago, in particular the pink and orange shades. But I want to give Nova a little love. You know how I mentioned at the start that I liked to mix a blue gloss into my too warm lipsticks? This is my go to gloss for it. Mostly because it’s in a more traditional bullet format. But also because a little bit goes a long way with it.
MILK MAKEUP ODYSSEY LIP OIL GLOSS in GLOBETROT – $47.00
Listen, I know that you’re wincing at that price. But this formula is so good. Much better than the Kush Lip Oils they released last year. And the shade I have, Globetrot has a stunning mix of blue and holographic silver reflect in the mix. Giving your lips that true frosted look.
