Emmie Reviews – Too Faced Ribbon Wrapped Lash Mascara

Posted on July 25, 2025July 24, 2025 by emmiesbeautylifeadmin

Happy Friday, y’all! I’m back to chat about Too Faced’s newest mascara launch. The Ribbon Wrapped Lash Mascara. Can you believe that this is their first brand new mascara in over 6 years? Crazy, right. In any case, I’ve actually been testing this one out for a while (I had to put it on pause for the Maybelline review). And I’m very much ready to discuss. So, is Too Faced’s newest launch all wrapped up in a bow? Or are there some knots? Let’s find out.

TOO FACED RIBBON WRAPPED LASH MASCARA – $51.00 – mecca.com.au

Starting with the packaging, the Ribbon Wrapped Lash Mascara is housed in a very sleek, cylindrical style tube. The tube itself is matte fuchsia pink with baby pink detail. The baby pink detail is an especially nice touch as it looks like it’s wrapping around the tube like a ribbon. Overall, it does stand out against the rest of Too Faced’s existing mascara line. But I will admit that my favourite mascara packaging from Too Faced is still the Damn Girl Mascara (R.I.P). The Ribbon Wrapped Lash Mascara is cruelty free (though Too Faced is owned my Estee Lauder), and contains 8ml of product. They also sell a mini that contains 4.7ml for $28.00.

Upon first inspection, the wand for the Ribbon Wrapped Lash Mascara looks pretty standard. It’s a molded, slightly conical brush head with evenly spaced bristles that go all the way around the brush. But when I had a closer look (and wiped some of the excess off), I noticed some longer, flexible bristles that circle the tip of the brush. The idea being that you can use the tip of the wand to easily reach those fine inner lashes. I actually love this and I do feel like it makes a huge difference in getting every lash coated with product.

Getting to the formula itself, I have no real negatives. The pigment is super rich and deep. I like that it takes a minute to dry down fully. Giving you the opportunity to go in with a second coat if need be. One thing I did want to say is that this formula has a little bit of body to it. It’s creamier than many of the tubing mascara’s than I’ve previously tried. Which will definitely help with volume. As for lash loving ingredients, there aren’t any that they are spruiking.

My first impressions of the Ribbon Wrapped Lash Mascara were very positive! The first thing I picked up on was how voluminous my lashes were. I’ve mentioned a few times in the past that the one area where tubing mascara’s struggle is volume. This was noticeably different. I also saw a good amount of length from this formula. But by far, it’s biggest selling point has to be that lift and curl! It felt almost weightless on the lashes. And I knew that if that lift held on, we were onto a winner!

So, full disclosure, I have a pretty rocky history with Too Faced mascaras. Much in the same vein as Benefit where they have just never worked out for me. Colour me shocked that the Ribbon Wrapped Lash Mascara not only wore like a dream, but that lift actually more or less stayed in place for the full 9 hours. This is a huge deal as most tubing mascaras have a tendency to droop on me. I also had no noticeable flaking around the eyes. I have no notes.

All in all, I’m giving the Too Faced Ribbon Wrapped Lash Mascara a thumbs up. But at $51, it’s a little too expensive to say rush out and buy it immediately. If you are interested, as I mentioned previously, there is a mini available. But I do think it’s worth trying. Especially if you’re someone who struggles with drooping lashes. Have you tried the Too Faced Ribbon Wrapped Lash Mascara? Let me know in the comments.

Cheers and love
