Emmie’s Empties – July 2025

Posted on August 5, 2025August 5, 2025 by emmiesbeautylifeadmin

Another month of 2025 has flown by. Which means it’s time to rummage through the empties box to see what I used up in July. And what can I say, these empties are a smash! Let’s get into it.

GARNIER PURE ACTIVE PIMPLE PATCHES – $11.00
For the price, these are really good. They have the thinner edges with a thicker pocket in the centre to collect the gunk and moisture. I like how well they adhere. But they can be occasionally difficult to remove because that edge is so thin. I would absolutely get these again.

MECCA MAX BEAUTY BULLET FLAWLESS SPHERE – $10.00
I found this when I was cleaning under my bed (thanks Parker). This is the only beauty sponge I will ever use. You already know I have back ups.

SUNDAY RILEY GOOD GENES LACTIC ACID TREATMENT – $149.00 for 30ml
I have a long history of Lactic Acid’s screwing up my skin. This is the only one my skin doesn’t hate. The sample size was very generous and I did see a difference when I was using it regularly. I definitely want this.

MURAD RAPID RELIEF SULFUR MASK – $69.00
Bottle number 2 down. And you bet your sweet booty that I’ll be picking up another one soon. One of my favourite masks for when my skin is cranky.

REVLON FULL TIME MASCARA – $24.95
I know I reviewed this one harshly back when I reviewed it initially, but as the formula dried out, it became a whole lot lighter on the lashes. And this stuff doesn’t budge either. I scraped this one empty. Heavily underrated in Revlon’s line.

THE ORDINARY RETINAL 0.2% EMULSION – $26.00
If I’m being honest, and this might just be that I wasn’t super consistent with this one, I’m not sure if this made much of a difference for me. I was using it up to 2 times a week. And while I didn’t react negatively to it, I’m not sure if I reacted positively to it either.

K18 MOLECULAR REPAIR HAIR MASK – $110.00
I used this up right at the start of July. And I had another one en-route immediately. I refuse to be without this.

TREE HUT SHEA SUGAR SCRUB VANILLA – $22.00
While I will admit that this is extremely expensive for what it is, what it is is a scrub that I utterly adored and used right down to the last sugar grain. Why yes, I do have another one already, why do you ask?

FRESH BEAUTY BLACK TEA AGE RENEWAL CREAM – discontinued *sent in PR*
So, funny story. The day I used this up, I was heading into my room to pop this into my empties box. I would then proceed to trip on my cat and have this fly out of my hand and smash into a million pieces. Like I said, thank goodness it was empty. Now, the cream itself is very, very good. Super luxe and nourishing. Soaks right into the skin like a dream. I do believe this version has been discontinued and replaced with the Firming Corset Cream. Stay tuned as to whether I pick it up.

TBH ACNE HACK ANTI-BACTERIAL CLEANSER – $25.00
I love this cleanser so freaking much. This cleanser more than any other is what I credit to getting my angry skin back under control. I already have a backup that I am using at the moment.

BYOMA BALANCING FACE MIST – $25.00
Super gentle and calming. I would use this in the morning after cleansing (I would sometimes use this just as my cleanser). Really nice. I would grab again.

And that’s a wrap on all that! Now, to finding the rest of the glass shards I haven’t found yet. Let me know what you used up in July in the comments.

Cheers and love
Emily xo
