The new stash is in, the old stash is out. Which means you know what time it is! It’s time for another helping of my bite size reviews. And considering how big my stash was for June and July, I had a lot to choose from. But these five products were the stand outs for me. For good and for ill. Let’s get to the reviews!

RIMMEL LONDON MULTI TASKER PRIMER MIST & SETTING SPRAY – $22.95
I’ve tried so many of the drugstore setting sprays at the point that I know what I like. And I do not like this. my biggest gripe is with the packaging, which is a freaking nightmare. This might be the most aggressive mister I’ve come across. It comes out harsh and heavy, leaving my face soaked after maybe two squirts. As a result, it takes a while to dry down fully. Once it has dried down though, it is pretty weightless. But truthfully, it’s not making a huge difference to the overall wear of my makeup. I also wasn’t wild about the smell. It does linger for a minute too long for my liking. I would skip this and go for the Maybelline one I reviewed last time.

ONE/SIZE ULTIMATE SETTING POWDER – $32.00
This one comes with so much hype surrounding it. And I see it. This powder is no joke. If you want a soft, blurred finish to your makeup, this is the powder you need to be using. A little bit goes such a long way. I mainly use it under my eyes and around my nose. And once those areas are set, they aren’t budging until I say they need to budge. It’s such a finely milled powder that it looks borderline undetectable on the skin once it’s pressed in. Pray that the anti-talc gods don’t get their hands on this one.

TOO FACED CHOCOLATE SOLEIL MELTING BRONZER STICK – $61.00
I had two standout bronzer sticks in my last stash. And this is the second place getter. It’s not bad by any means. I love how sleek the packaging is, it blends like a dream, and it smells delicious to boot. I just have some quibbles that I’m not sure are user error or a design flaw. You see, I have the shade Chocolate Mousse, which is the second shade in this line. Generally speaking, if the shade range is expansive like this one is, I usually buy the second shade. But it’s way too deep for me. The tone is perfect, it’s a fabulous neutral brown shade. But there is a huge jump from Milk Chocolate (shade 1) to Chocolate Mousse (shade 2) colour wise. And even though it blends out easily, it always looked a little muddy on my skin. I do wish there was a shade in between those two. But because of this, I found myself more often than not reaching for…

LYS BEAUTY NO LIMITS CREAM BRONZER STICK – $42.00
This bronzer stick. I know my first impressions of LYS were bad (that mascara is still awful). But LYS cooked with this bronzer. I have the shade Light and it is everything I could possibly want for a true bronzing stick. The tone is amazing, warm but not orange. It blends out so easily. It wears all day long without fading. I can’t say enough good things about this one. And I’m especially excited to try more from LYS Beauty

CHARLOTTE TILBUTY CHEEK TO CHIC BLUSH in PILLOW TALK – $65.00
We’ll wrap this up with less of a review and more of a reminder of just how beautiful these blushes from Charlotte Tilbury are. I’ve been quietly raving about them for years. But I do feel like they have slipped under the radar ever since the rise of the cream/liquid blush. I will happily say that the Cheek To Chic Blushes are still some of the best powder blushes on the market. And listen, I know that Pillow Talk has been run into the ground. But when I want a slightly pink, neutral blush, I still reach for this to this day. It really does tie a makeup look together.
And now it’s time to clear the plates. I hope you enjoyed these bite size reviews. I always enjoy doing them. Have an amazing week!
Cheers and love
