They took a minute to arrive, but they’re finally here. Welcome to my 2025 MAC lipstick haul! This year, I picked up 5 all new lipsticks to add to my collection. And shock horror, they aren’t all browns and nudes! That’s right, this year I truly ventured out of my comfort zone and picked up my first red MAC lipstick. And my second one for that matter. And I’m truly in love with all of my picks. Let’s get into it!
SHADE: Iconic Photo

SHADE DESCRIPTION: Golden Brown
SHADE: Film Noir
FORMULA: Macximal Sleek Satin
SHADE DESCRIPTION: Deep Cool Purple Brown
SHADE: Russian Red
FORMULA: Macximal Silky Matte
SHADE DESCRIPTION: Intense Bluish Red
FUN FACT: Russian Red was one of MAC’s earliest red lipsticks. And was a favourite of Madonna, who famously wore it during her Blonde Ambition in 1990. In fact, it was a reformulation of Russian Red that led to the creation of the iconic Ruby Woo. So, the makeup world owes a lot to this shade.
SHADE: Hodge Podge
FORMULA: Macximal Sleek Satin
SHADE DESCRIPTION: Mocha Mid Tone Brown
FUN FACT: Did you know that Hodge Podge started life as a lip liner? The lip liner was a long time makeup artist favourite shade for those with medium-deep skin tones. Sadly, it was discontinuted a few years back. But now lives on in this lipstick.
SHADE: Lady Bug
FORMULA: Lustreglass
SHADE DESCRIPTION: Tomato Red
