Emmie Reviews – Mecca Max Life Proof Satin Blur Foundation

Posted on October 3, 2025October 2, 2025 by emmiesbeautylifeadmin

I know, I know. I’m supposed to be reviewing the Unleashia Satin Foundation. But when my favourite brand brings out a surprise new foundation, it immediately has to get bumped to the top of the review list. So, here is my review of the brand new Mecca Max Life Proof Satin Blur Foundation. Let’s get into it!

MECCA MAX LIFE PROOF SATIN BLUR FOUNDATION – $38.00 – mecca.com.au
*40 Shades Available*

Starting with the packaging, the Satin Blue Foundation is housed in a tall, cylindrical, frosted glass bottle. The bottle has a good amount of weight to it and feels very solid and secure. The bottle has pink, red, and black detail with a chrome gold cap at the top. Which is very much in line with the rest of the Mecca Max range. The Satin Blur Foundation is vegan, cruelty free, and contains 30ml of product.

The Satin Blur Foundation is dispensed via a pump attached to the top of the bottle. The pump is made of a rigid black plastic. It’s the kind of pump I really like because it allows a great deal of control when it comes to dispensing product. I also rarely have leaking issues with pumps like these. I actually didn’t clean this before I took the picture of it. Which is a rarity for me.

The Satin Blur Foundation launched with 40 shades. This is very much in line as their previous foundation launch, the now discontinued Second Skin Foundation also had 40 shades. The shades are divided up via shades and undertones. And I will say, the range of undertones available in the Satin Blur Foundation has to be commended. There are peachy undertones in the lighter shades, olive undertones in the medium/deep range, and red undertones in the deep/very deep range. The range is also very well balanced. With around 8 shades in each category. It’s certainly one of the better shade ranges that I’ve seen recently.

As for me, I wear shade 180N. Described as being light with neutral undertones. I do think this was the best pick for me in the range as this is the only light shade with neutral undertones in my shade category. It matches my neck pretty much perfectly. And while it’s a little stark on my face initially, it’s as close to a perfect match that I’ve had for ages.

Applying the Satin Blur Foundation was pretty breezy. It’s a liquidy formula, but it has some slip to it. You can tell from the feel that it is a dimethicone forward formula. But once it’s on the skin, it sets down very nicely. It applied well with either a brush, a sponge, or my fingers. I was surprised by the brush because I was sure I was going to see the swipe marks on my face. But that wasn’t the case here. I used around 2 pumps for the whole face. And if necessary, I would use an additional pump on places like my chin and nose.

The Satin Blur Foundation is described as being a medium to full coverage foundation with a satin finish. I agree wholeheartedly with both counts. The finish is absolutely gorgeous. Not too glowy, not too matte. It does look like the best skin of your life. As far as the coverage goes, for me, it walks right up to the line of being full coverage. You can still see freckles, but otherwise, it just looks like my skin with my imperfections blurred away. Which I guess is the name of the game here.

But how does it wear? Well, it’s time for the wear test. And I can honestly say it’s been a while since I had a foundation wear this well on me. There is a full 9 hour gap between these two photos and all I did between that time was occasionally blot around my nose. This foundation does not budge. I had no cracking, sinking into pores, fading. It stayed true to colour. It was so comfortable and weightless on the skin. I very easily could have continued wearing this without even having to touch up anything. Best of all, it didn’t break me out! This paired with my skin nicely

Well, I think we can guess how this is going to end. Consider the hype very real! I absolutely recommend the Satin Blur Foundation and give it the biggest thumbs up that I can. The finish, the coverage, the shade range, the wear. It’s all fantastic! And I wouldn’t be surprised if I’m mentioning this again in a few months time. Have you tried the Mecca Max Life Proof Satin Blue Foundation? Let me know in the comments.

Cheers and love
