Bite Size Reviews – Part 14

Posted on October 10, 2025October 9, 2025 by emmiesbeautylifeadmin

October is one of my favourite months of the year. Because it has my favourite holiday, Halloween! What can I say? I love a trick and I love a treat. And this month’s Bite Size Reviews is all treats (for the most part). Let’s chat about five of the standout products from my last makeup stash.

MAYBELLINE GRIPPY SERUM PRIMER – $27.99
We’ll kick this off with a winner. The Grippy Serum Primer very quickly became a favourite of mine. It’s all in the consistency with this one. It’s so light, but with enough tack to help the foundation really adhere to the skin. The thing I like most though is it doesn’t cause my foundation to pill. Which is something I experience with some gripping primers. The Revlon Balm Primer is still my number one for the year, but this one is a very, very close second.

HAUS LABS TRICLONE CONCEALER – $53.00
OK, y’all. This might be my hottest take to date. Is this a good concealer? Yes. Is it the game changing concealer that the internet has hyped it up to be? No. And I mean, on the one hand, no product is going to live up to that much hype. But it’s just a pretty good concealer. I think it’s the texture that threw me off. It’s quite whipped and not super serumy. I do have a strong preference for serum concealers as they wear the best under my aging eyes. I will concede that it blends out nicely and wears very well on me. I’ll keep using it. And who knows, my opinion might change as we get closer to the end of the year. But as it stands right now, it’s good, not great.

BARRY M IN A FIX LAMINATING BROW GEL – $12.95 – sent in PR
A quick, last minute addition to the stash (I ran out of my Rare Beauty Brow Gel early on). This stuff is really good. It sets my brows down nicely without leaving my brows feeling super crunchy and rigid. It dries down clear. For the price, I don’t think you can go wrong with this one.

RIMMEL MULTI TASKER 3 in 1 BRONZING STICK in LIGHT – $24.95
I mentioned in my stash video that I did over on TikTok that I hadn’t heard anyone talk about these. And now that I’ve tried it, I’m amplifying them more. This is such a great little bronzing stick! Not too creamy, not too waxy. It blends out super easily. The tone is great for my skin tone. It’s definitely a true bronzer shade on me. There is no coolness to this shade. I don’t have a lot of complaints about this one. Rimmel’s Multi Tasker line keeps winning! Except for the setting mist.

TOO FACED CLOUD CRUSH WHIPPED LIP & CHEEK COLOR in MILK & COOKIES – $48.00
Let’s wrap is one up with the one product that I INSIST you all try from this stash. I’ve been a long time fan of Too Faced’s Cloud Crush Powder Blushes. But the new Whipped Lip & Cheek Color’s are something else. First of all, they smell edible (Too Faced is good at that). But they feel light as air on the cheeks. They build up extremely easily without looking like too much product. And if you especially want a one and done cheek product, this shade Milk & Cookies is the blonzer shade of your dreams! I cannot say enough good things about them. I sincerely hope you give them a go.

And that is a wrap on my August/September stash! This was such a great stash overall. I discovered a ton of new favourites. Let me know which products you’re keen to try in the comments.

Cheers and love
