The 2018 roundup continues with my December empties! Thankfully I can keep this one short because I actually didn’t use up that much stuff in December. So let’s not waste too much time and get into it!
CO LAB & CO COFFEE SCRUB WITH COCONUT – $9.95
Not my favourite scrub, but I bought it because I was peeling from a nasty sunburn and I had recently ran out of my beloved Buddy Scrub. I’m such a sucker for coffee though so I’ll never turn down something that smells like espresso.
MAUI MOISTURE SHEA BUTTER SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER – $20.00
It smells delightful but the sample wasn’t big enough for me to notice any difference with my hair. I still want to try this brand eventually.
SIMPLE CLEANSING FACIAL WIPES – $7.49
Still my favourite make up removing wipes. I already have a backup pack ready to use.
SWISSPERS MAKEUP PADS – $3.79
I still use these on a daily basis. Especially now that I’m using a micellar water as my main cleanser. I would love to find pads like these that are more environmentally friendly this year.
CLINIQUE MOISTURE SURGE 72HR AUTO-REPLENISHING HYDRATOR – $60.00
Such a good moisturiser! It soaks into the skin like a drink of water and it doesn’t interfere with my makeup. A definite repurchase in the future.
RIMMEL BROW THIS WAY BROW STYLING GEL – $12.95
This was ok. The colour was a good match when I had lighter hair but the wand is way too big for my liking. If you don’t mind a larger wand for your brows, you’ll probably like this but I probably won’t repurchase.
COLOURPOP CREME GEL LINER – $5.00
A sad declutter for me. The formula is great but I’ve had it for way too long. I also find these days that I prefer eyeliners I can sharpen due to the hygiene factor so I probably won’t repurchase.
MAYBELLINE COLOSSAL BIG SHOT MASCARA – $19.95
A quick PSA. Don’t buy the Colossal Big Shot that is the collab with Makeup by Shayla. I don’t know what happened or what went wrong, but this one smudges so badly in a way that the original one doesn’t. I’ll be sticking to the original one in the future.
REVLON VOLUMAZING MASCARA – $19.95
I apparently seem to be in the minority when it comes to this mascara because I have seen quite a few reviews from people saying that they don’t like it. Oh well, I still do, but if you’re unsure grab it on sale. That’s what I usually do.
LUSH MASK OF MAGNAMINTY – $16.95
Absolutely will be repurchasing this mask! The hype is totally real and I’m sad to see the end of it.
OLE HENRIKSEN INVIGORATING NIGHT TRANSFORMATION GEL – $64.00
While I’m usually a fan of Ole Henriksen skincare, this was a pass for me. I found it to be quite sticky and it took a while to soak into my skin. I’ll probably skip this one in the future.
CLINIQUE FRESH PRESSED RENEWING POWDER CLEANSER – $45.00
I got a bunch of these as a gift with purchase a few months back. And while I probably used them a bit too infrequently to see any benefit, I know that this product is a holy grail to many of my blogger friends so I might pick it up in the future to try out properly.
CLINIQUE ALL ABOUT EYES – $58.00
Once upon a time, this was one of my favourite eye creams. But I think the formula is a tad too heavy for my eye area these days so I’m back on the hunt for the perfect eye cream.
CLINIQUE TAKE THE DAY OFF MAKEUP REMOVER – $35.00
This is one of those makeup removers that is mostly oil based so it’s very effective at removing mascara. I am more partial to the solid oil based removers though.
And those are my empties! I never know how to end these things so that can be something I work on in the new year!
