Well folks, it’s time for a little snacky snack. That’s right, it’s Bite Size Reviews time once again. This is where I pick a few of the standout products from my last stash and share my thoughts on them. Now, if you’re looking for spicy takes, unfortunately this won’t be the post. Outside of the three mascaras I reviewed, everything else in my stash was pretty solid. And I may have discovered a new favourite or two. So, let’s get into it!

MAYBELLINE PORELESS JELLY PRIMER – $27.00
This was a last minute addition to the stash that I picked up off the recommendation of Tanika (who is currently responsible for a lot of my drugstore purchases). Now, I’m usually not the biggest fan of pore filling primers as they tend to ball up on me. But this one lays down very nicely. It’s not super slippy like some of the other pore filling primers that I’ve tried. And it makes a super smooth base for my foundation to go onto. I know that the Grippy Primer from Maybelline has been getting the hype (well deserved in my opinion), but don’t overlook this one. She is a sleeper gem!

TOWER 28 SWIPE CONCEALER – $38.00
Less of a review and more of a sermon, allow me to once again sing the praises of the Swipe Concealer. If you have slightly more mature skin, this concealer is a godsend. The formula is so light, but the pigment packs such a punch. And it creases on me way less than some other serum textured concealers on the market. I know that I’ve raved about this concealer a ton, but you owe it to yourself to try it. You won’t regret it.

L’OREAL INFALLIBLE 3 SECOND SETTING MIST – $29.99
OK, so this is the second time I’ve featured the L’Oreal Setting Mist in one of my stashes. And now that I’ve had a little more time to play around with it, my thoughts have changed considerably. When I reviewed this last time, I mentioned that I found the stickiness from the mist to be very irritating. One big difference I made this time around was that I used a finishing spray first and then sprayed this once the finishing spray dried. That seemed to clamp down on the sticky sensation and it really does lock everything in place. So, yes, this works I fear. If you need your makeup to not budge during the Silly Season, this is an essential.

MECCA MAX BROW GURU POWER BROW STRONG HOLD GEL – $26.00
Yeah, I can see why this is always out of stock. Formula wise, this is aces. It dries down clear and leaves my brows in place without that unpleasant crunchy feeling. But it’s the wand that makes this truly unique. One size of the wand is your standard short bristles to comb your brows into position. But on the other side is a flocked doe foot, positioned on an angle. And you can use that to press your brows into place. Giving that laminated effect to your brows that is oh so popular. This might be my new brow obsession and you’ll probably see me talk about it again very soon.

MAKEUP BY MARIO SOFT POP BLUSH VEIL in BARELY BLUSHING – $69.00
Fun fact, this was the last cut I made to my Spring Faves post. It’s that good. I’ve previously not been a fan of Mario’s blushes. But these Blush Veils are magnificent! A featherlight formula that builds up beautifully. There is no such thing as heavy handed with this formula. I’ve tried a few of these now and this shade in particular, Barely Blushing, is my far my favourite. This shade compliments so many makeup looks. It’s a true all rounder shade.
And that is a wrap on my bite size reviews! I hope you enjoyed. Don’t forget to tip your waitess and I’ll catch you on Friday.
Cheers and love
