Righty-o, now that all of the 2025 stuff has been taken care of, let’s get back to the important stuff!
A few months ago, Barry M was so kind as to send me a few of their newer launches. Among them was the It’s A Wrap Tubing Mascara, Barry M’s first venture into the world of tubing mascara. Now, I didn’t review it at the time it came out because I had reviewed like five tubing mascaras in a row and I feared y’all would yell at me. But it’s a new year and the mascara review counter is back to zero. So, let’s get into my thoughts on Barry M’s newest mascara.

Starting with the packaging, the It’s A Wrap Mascara is housed in a sleek, cylindrical, baby pink tube with black detail. There are also divets along the tube for what I can only assume is for aesthetic reasons. The plastic is very lightweight. All in all, it’s pretty standard stuff. The It’s A Wrap Mascara is vegan, cruelty free, and contains 8g of product.

Having reviewed almost 100 mascaras since I started doing this, I thought I had seen all of the different variations of mascara brushes out there. But Barry M really surprised me with this one. On the surface, the It’s A Wrap Mascara brush head is pretty normal. Molded brush head with short, densely packed bristles. But the shape is quite unique. This brush head actually gets wider towards the tip. As it turns out, it’s kind of brilliantly designed. I can use the brush both horizontally and vertically to reach every lash with ease. And it makes it incredibly easy to coat those lower lashes.

Formula wise, it’s not hugely different to many of the tubing mascara formulas that I’ve worn over the years. I will note that it’s slightly on the thicker side, which helps with volume. But the pigment is very rich, lightweight feeling, and has a fast dry down. Interestingly, this formula contains Rosemary Leaf Oil. Which you can 100% smell when you’re applying it to the lashes. It also contains Polygonum Multiflorum Extract, which has some ties to assisting with lash growth and conditioning.

It’s always nice to kick off the year with a good mascara. And the It’s A Wrap Mascara is a very good mascara to apply. I did my usual two coats and was immediately struck by the amount of lift and volume I got. The dense bristles were able to cling to my lashes and evenly distribute product. It truly looked like every single lash got picked up. I also clocked the separation. My lashes looked so full and flared out. But the biggie was the length. I’ve been on something of a lengthening mascara drought as of late. So, to see how much I got from the Barry M was truly awesome.

OK, I’ve gushed about how easily this mascara applied. But how does it wear? Pretty damn well, if you ask me! Right off the bat, I’ve had extremely minimal drooping. My lashes look pretty much the same at the end of the day as when I first applied it. I did cop a couple of teeny crumbs under my eye on the day I did the testing. But it was very easy to sweep them away. I had no transfer or smudging under the eyes. I am truly, truly impressed.
Well folks, looks like we are starting 2026 off with a winner! I’m happily recommending the Barry M It’s A Wrap Mascara. The quality and wear is so damn impressive. And the fact that it’s less than $15 makes it all the easier to recommend. Have you tried the Barry M It’s A Wrap Mascara? Let me know in the comments
