You know, for all of the talk of Maybelline being one of my favourite drugstore makeup brands, it’s kind of wild that I’ve only ever done the one One Brand Recommendations on them. And in the nearly five years since that initial post, Maybelline has been on something of a generational run. With banger launch after banger launch basically flooding my Instagram and TikTok feeds. At this point, Maybelline has total control of my wallet and if they’re launching something, I’m trying it. So, I figured it was well past time to do a part two of my absolute Maybelline must haves. Many of these are going to be launches from the last few years. But they have all become staples in my makeup collection. Let’s get into it!

MAYBELLINE GRIPPY SERUM PRIMER – $27.99
This was one of the hardest cuts that I made for my 2025 Best Of series. Good god, this primer is phenomenal. The texture is so light and silky, but provides just enough tack to it to really help my makeup adhere to my skin. This doesn’t pill on me or tangle in my peach fuzz like many other gripping primers do. If you’re someone who has struggled with grippy primers, this one is so worth trying.
MAYBELLINE SUPERSTAY LUMI MATTE FOUNDATION – $34.99
Crappy shade range aside, this is a foundation that I have come back to repeatedly since my inital review. It wears beautifully in the Mount Isa heat and the finish is just stunning. This has become a go to for special occasions where I want my skin to look perfect.
MAYBELLINE SUPERSTAY DOUBLE FIXER SETTING SPRAY – $28.99
I feel like all I need to do here is tag my Best Of list where I raved about this setting spray. Because I still can’t shut up about it. It’s so good, it’s SO good!

MAYBELLINE SUPER LOCK BROW GLUE – $18.99
As much as I hate dupe culture these days, I do have to concede that the Super Lock is basically a dupe for the Rare Beauty Brow Gel. The brushes are almost the same. The formula pretty much is the same. I get the same effect, same wear, same hold. As much as I love the Rare Beauty, I do think I’m just going to keep buying this one. Because it’s amazing and half the price.

MAYBELLINE COLOR TATTOO EYE STIX – $22.99
Oooh, the gatekeeper is opening the gate with this one. I often get asked what I use in the inner corner of my eyes to get them so bright. Nine times out of ten, it’s these. A little bit goes such a long way with them and they do last all day even with my watery AF eyes. I also love them on the eyelids for something bright and simple. You know, the way you’re supposed to wear them. I should really grab some of the bolder shades!
MAYBELLINE SKY HIGH MASCARA – $27.99
Listen, I know I said in part one that the Falsies Lash Lift was the best mascara I’ve ever tried at the time. But now, if you held a gun to my head, I would have to admit that I like the Sky High a teensy bit more now. I mean, length, volume, the fact that it’s tubing, the insane wear time, and it comes in multiple shades? I mean? How can I say no?

MAYBELLINE LIFTER STIX FACE STICK – $29.99
Yep, gate’s getting wider now. I don’t hear as many people talking about the Lifter Stix’s these days. But for me, shade 65 has quickly become a staple summer bronzer. It’s just the right balance of warm without pulling too orange. And these lowkey blend so easily with both a brush and a sponge. If you picked one of these up and haven’t touched it since, I do insist you pull them out again. Also, Maybelline, if I could get a blush with this formula, that would be awesome!

MAYBELLINE LIFTER LIP LINER – $19.99
Much like the setting spray, I have raved about these. The Lifter Liners are, without question, my favourite drugstore lip liners. I mean, they go on like a dream and you have time to work with them. But once they’re set, they aren’t going anywhere! The shade Line Leader is a go to for a My Lip But Better lip look.
MAYBELLINE SUPERSTAY TEDDY TINT LIPSTICK – $26.99
I know that these are polarising. But consider me a member of the ‘love it’ camp. The blurred effect they give to the lips is so effortless. And my sneaky trick is that these work well as a blush too.
MAYBELLINE SERUM LIPSTICK – $22.99
Man, Maybelline has been killing it with the lip launches as of late. And these are magnificent. I’m actually super picky when it comes to drugstore bullet lipstick. But there is something so gorgeous about these. The way both the satin and matte formulas glides onto the lips with no effort. They wear so comfortably. Best of all, the shade range is goated. There really is a shade of lipstick for everyone.
And that is my Maybelline One Brand Recommendations! I know that there has been a bunch of new stuff launch recently here. So, a part three might be in the future. But for right now, let me know your Maybelline must haves in the comments.
Cheers and love
Emily xo
