Emmie’s Rhode Haul – #MeccaXRhode

Posted on March 6, 2026March 5, 2026 by emmiesbeautylifeadmin

Well, y’all, many of us thought this day would never come. But on the 12th of Feburary 2026, Rhode finally launched instore and online at Mecca here in Australia. Not only that, they also now ship to Australia from the Rhode website. This was easily one of the biggest and most anticipated beauty launches that I can remember. Bigger than the Charlotte Tilbury launch back in 2021, for sure. And you bet your ass I was up at 5:30am to grab what I could (the less said about the absolute clusterfuck that was the online launch, the better I feel).

Now, I will admit that this post is on the late side. Not only did mine take a few days to ship, it got caught on the wrong side of Boundary Creek for a week and a half (seriously, this rain here in Queensland needs to GO AWAY!). But, at long last, my order is here and looking absolutely amazing. So, let’s chat about what I picked up.

Firstly, I made an immediate beeline to the RHODE POCKET BLUSH – $43.00. By the time I got there, only Tan Lines had sold out out of the shades I actually wanted. But I did manage to snag Freckle (Neutral Peach), Sleepy Girl (Soft Mauve), and Toasted Teddy (Bronze Terracotta). Packaging wise, they are a lot smaller IRL than what I assumed. But holy pigment, these go on and blend out so easily. I can see why they became a fan favourite in the line.

Next up, I grabbed two of the RHODE PEPTIDE LIP TINT NOURISHING GLAZE – $35.00. Now, I already have some experience with the Peptide Lip Treatments. I bought one of the non tinted ones a few years back and I adore the formula. Not too thick, but still deeply nourishing. For the tinted ones, I took some inspo from my beautiful friend Morgan and went with Toast (Rose Taupe), and Salty Tan (Soft Mauve). First impressions, I love the amount of tint you get from them. But I want to play with them more for sure.

The last thing I grabbed was one of the RHODE PEPTIDE LIP SHAPE CONTOURING LIP SHAPER – $41.00. Now this was the one I was curious about. I remember these getting a pretty poor reception when they launched as they weren’t as longwear as some thought they might be. But I also think they were maybe marketed wrong. They aren’t supposed to be a lip liner in the tradtional sense. But more like a lip contouring stick to add shape and definition to the lips. In any case, I picked Twist (Warm Taupe). I’ll have to keep you posted on my thoughts. But it swatches easily and blends out well.

And that I everything I picked up from Rhode! I skipped over the skincare for now (I’ve got enough skincare in my cupboard to sink the Titanic. I DO NOT need more). And I am sorely tempted to just say fuck it and buy Tan Lines from the Rhode website when their new Spring collection drops. But all in all, I am so happy with what I grabbed and I can’t wait to tell you my more detailed thoughts in the future. Until then, I hope you all have a fantastic weekend. And as always, let me know what you picked up in the comments.

Cheers and love
