At long last, we have the first real Sephora sale of the year upon us. The Afterpay Day Sephora Sale kicked off last night and will be going until Sunday the 22nd. What’s the discount this time? 15% Off select brands both in store and online. And they do mean select brands. I strongly advise checking the T&C’s before you shop. Because quite a few of the bigger brands are excluded from this sale (Hourglass being the biggie, I’d argue). Now, as always, I am here to share some of my picks for the sale. I have a solid mix of old and new favourites to talk about. So, let’s dive on in!
ALPHA-H MELTING MOMENT CLEANSING BALM – $70.00*
I mentioned in my Shower post last week that I do tend to prefer cleansing balms over cleansing oils. And while the Alpha-H isn’t my absolute number one favourite, it’s still one that I genuinely enjoy having and using in my stash. A little bit goes such a long way with it. It helps break down my stubborn makeup with ease. Best of all, my face never feels greasy or filmy after I rinse it off. The Melting Moment is a best seller for a reason.
BENEFIT THE POREFESSIONAL FOUNDATION – $72.00
I can keep this short because I have been raving about this foundation all year so far. Easily one of the best matte finish foundation’s I’ve ever tried. Lasts all day on the skin without fading or cracking. It’s so good!
KAYALI FREEDOM MUSK MATCHA 45 – $58.00
Full disclosure, I do own all of the Freedom Musk collection from Kayali. But if there is one that needs to get the 50ml treatment, it’s this one. I was blown away by how good it is. Musk Matcha is rich, indulgent, earthy, creamy, the Green Apple note gives it a little sweetness. It’s unlike anything else in my fragrance collection. And I definitely am inspired to try more matcha fragrances because of this. I say this knowing I actually do not like matcha the drink.
DIOR BACKSTAGE ROSY GLOW BLUSH – $70.00
Dior is one of the few luxury brands that are included in this sale. So, I wanted to shout out the Rosy Glow blushes since they had a reformulation recently. Having tried both the old and the new, I do have to admit that the new formula is a significant upgrade. The pigment is more bold and punchy, they go onto the skin a lot smoother, and the wear time is so much better. If you’re in a treat yourself kind of mood, these are well worth looking out.
LANEIGE GLAZE CRAZE TINTED LIP SERUM – $30.00
Now how have I not brought these up in a sales post before? Laneige makes incredible lip products, we all know this. But they went all out for the Tinted Lip Serums. These are so gorgeous on the lips. The perfect balance of juiciness and pigment. I love them either on their own or as the perfect glossy touch to a lip combo.
