Spotlight On – Masks That I’ve Been Loving!

As many of you would know, I love me a good face mask. They are my special little treat to my face when I want to unwind from a long day. And as a result, I tend to try as many new and exciting ones as I can. And lately, I have discovered some awesome new ones that I want to tell you about today! In all my years of trying out new skincare, I’m surprised that it has taken me this long to see something like this on the market. What this is is a charcoal based mask in a solid form that you can spread over your cleansed face without using your fingers or a brush. You leave it on for five minutes (and you know I love a quick mask) and then you’re done! It’s loaded with tons of great skin loving ingredients like Salicylic Acid and Niacinamide. Both are good for dealing with breakouts. And it’s so convenient to use! I have especially loved using this first thing in the morning because I can slap it on when I’m in a hurry and have soft, detoxed skin quickly!

OK, for all intents and purposes, this is a rediscovered love, but it has been a while since I last had it so I’m talking about it here. This is the mask that pushed GlamGlow off of the top of my favourites list. This has a whole host of awesome ingredients like Witch Hazel, Kakadu Plum (a powerful anti septic) and Vitamin A, which has anti aging properties. Every time I use this mask, I’m blown away at how my skin looks and feels. It’s noticeably clearer, my lines appear more refined and I just look like a have a glow! I also frequently use this as a spot treatment. Just a dab on a blemish and that takes care of it for me. I know that this one is heavily hyped online, but the hype is very real!

ANDALOU NATURALS PUMPKIN HONEY GLYCOLIC MASK – $22.99 – priceline.com.au
Clay masks are all well and good, but there are times when my skin needs a little something different. And the Andalou Naturals Glycolic Mask is just that for me. This mask has Manuka Honey as one of it’s key ingredients, which is a powerful antioxidant. As well as Glycolic Acid, which is great for loosening up and clearing dead skin cells. I immediately feel a tingle on the skin when I apply it and always notice that my skin is much brighter and clearer after having used this mask. A definite favourite at the moment.
