Yes, I know that this is late. It’s been a busy few weeks. But it is now once again time to chat about some of he standout products from my February/March Beauty Stash. Because that stash was pretty repeat heavy, I only have four standouts this time. So, this will be shorter than usual. But I’m still pretty psyched to talk about them. Let’s get into it!

L’OREAL TRUE MATCH FOUNDATION – $33.99
I had intended to do a proper write up about this one. But I figured I could save my thoughts for here instead. True Match really has stood the test of time. It was one of the very first foundation’s I ever tried when I was first getting into makeup (I still vividly remember the pumpless bottle it came in back in the day). It’s still the foundation I recommend to anyone who is getting into makeup for the first time. It has a stunning, natural finish, the shade range is fantastic, and the formula is very adaptable to most skin types. I can wear this during the summer when my skin is oilier and during winter when my skin is drier and I still get the same great wear out of it. It’s a legend for a reason.

SEPHORA COLLECTION BEST SKIN EVER MULTI USE CONCEALER – $28.00
So, fun fact about me is that when there is a foundation/concealer collection pairing, if I hate the foundation, I usually like the concealer. And that is the case here for sure. The consistency of this concealer is very thin and liquidy (yes I have had splashback on my shirt). But the coverage is qute impressive. I would call it medium buildable. It does a great job at covering the dark circles under my eyes without looking heavy or crepey. I didn’t like it as much on the rest of my face. But I do personally prefer something a bit fuller coverage . The real reason I enjoyed this though was the undertone. I have shade 3C. And it is a true cool undertone. The little bit of pink really did a good job at brightening up my undereyes. While I still feel that the name ‘Best Skin Ever’ is incredibly presumptous, this is a solid, affordable option (which is currently 30% off until Sunday!)

REVLON ILLUMINANCE SETTING SPRAY – $31.00
I mentioned in my stash post that this came as a recommendation from my wonderful friend Lily over on Instagram. And ultimately, this is fine. A little meh, but fine. Positives, I love that the mister on this is super fine. I can spray this without feeling like I’m drowning my face with product. And the spray is very even. Negatives, I wish this didn’t have a fragrance. Not because I find it irritating, I just found that the more I used it, the more I didn’t like how it smelled. And while it did a good job at settling my powders down I’m not sure how much it did for the longevity of my makeup. I’ll use it up, but I probably wouldn’t get it again.

HAUS LABS COLOR FUSE GLASSY BLUSH BALM – $59.00
Yeah, I shouted this out in my sales post the other day. So, that should tell you everything you need to know. This formula is gorgeous. Having said that, I have stipulations. If you’re someone who likes a super punchy, pigmented blush, these aren’t for you. I find that they are more of a subtle flush of colour. And for me, I found that the more heavy handed I went, the weirder the finish was on me. I also found that my preferred method of application was applying some to the back of my hand and then using a brush to stipple onto the cheeks (which I also mentioned the other day). I prefer to set this lightly with a powder, but if you have drier skin, you could get away with leaving it. But once it’s on, it’s the most gorgeous finish on the skin.
And that is a wrap on my bite size reviews. I hope you all have an amazing weekend and I’ll catch you next week.
Cheers and love
