BellaBox First Impressions – January 2019 – Happy You Year!

Yes, it’s BellaBox time again! And it’s the first one for 2019! I was super excited when I saw the line up for this month. And I was especially excited when my box arrived. So, without any further adieu, let’s dive into my January box!

SO SUSAN LIQUID MATTE in PUMPKIN – $14.00US
One of the two hero products for this month, So Susan is a new brand to me but who am I to turn down a liquid lipstick? There were three shades available to choose from and I chose Pumpkin, which is a gorgeous warm toned nude. It’ll be a perfect shade for Autumn, which is thankfully coming soon.

MELLOW COSMETICS LIP LINER in ROSE – $16.00
The other hero product for this month’s box. Mellow Cosmetics has been one of my favourite brands of the moment! Everything I have tried from them has been a big hit with me. And I have heard so many good things about the lip liners from others here on the web so I am so psyched to try this out for myself. I got the shade rose, which is a more neutral colour that will luckily work with a lot of my existing lip products.

BLAQ EXPRESS CHARCOAL WIPES – $5.99
While I stopped using face wipes to remove my makeup a long time ago, I do still use them for removing my mascara after a long day. These are actually pretty nifty. They are infused with charcoal in the cloth so they are supposed to detoxify your skin as you use them. Which is something I can get down with.

MARC DANIELS PROFESSIONAL SILKY SMOOTH COCONUT NOURISHING TREATMENT – $14.99
Another new haircare brand for me to try out. This is supposed to treat dryness in hair, leaving it silky smooth and hydrated. I might need to hold onto this for winter when my hair is a little bit drier. I just cut most of it off so dryness is not a problem for me right now!

CANCER COUNCIL FACE DAY WEAR MOISTURISER MATTE INVISIBLE SPF50+ – $14.99
This couldn’t have arrived at a better time. I am almost out of my current facial sunscreen so I was buying a new one shortly anyway! I got the invisible one, meaning that it doesn’t have a tint, but there are also light and medium tinted ones available as well. The big plus is that it has SPF50+ with UVA and UVB broad spectrum protection. It’s so important to wear sunscreen if you’re going outside, so it’s very cool that BellaBox included this.

*BONUS* MADARA ORGANIC SKINCARE BRIGHTENING AHA PEEL MASK – $39.95
The added bonus for this month. I have been all about brightening products for a while now and I’m very keen to give this a go. This mask contains natural fruit acids that help remove dead skin cells, apparently leaving glowy, youthful skin!

And that’s everything that I got in my January box! I have to say that this has been my favourite box for a while. I will happily use everything that I got and I’m excited to see what next month brings.
