Emmie Reviews – Mecca Max Fangirl Panoramic Tubing Mascara

Posted on May 22, 2026May 21, 2026 by emmiesbeautylifeadmin

When it comes to mascaras, few brands hit it out of the park more than Mecca Max, Over the last 7 years, I have been continously impressed by their mascara range. And they truly have a mascara for everyone. Now, they have launched their most intriguing mascara to date, the Fangirl Panoramic Tubing Mascara. With a innovative new wand design that caught my eye immediately. I’ve spent the last few weeks rialing it behind the scenes. And I’m ready to share my thoughts. So, has Mecca Max made a fangirl out of me? Just keep reading!

MECCA MAX FANGIRL PANORAMIC TUBING MASCARA – $30.00 – mecca.com.au

Starting with the packaging, the Fangirl Mascara is housed in a very sleek, chrome gold, tube style packaging. There is black detail on the tube. It is something of a departure from the rest of the Mecca Max mascara range (Mecca Max is somewhat synomynous with reds, pinks, and oranges). Having said that, Mecca Max’s recently released brow range has also adopted the chrome gold packaging. So, this might be the direction their eye/brow range is going in. I will also note that the tube is quite small. Larger than a travel size, but smaller than many of the mascaras in my collection. The Fangirl Mascara is vegan, cruelty free, and contains 5g of product.

Righty-o, let’s get to the reason why I was so, so excited to try the Fangirl Mascara. It has, by far, one of the most interesting and different brush heads that I’ve come across in my near 8 years of reviewing mascara. The brush component of the wand utilizes two rows of bristles that start out wide, dip in the middle, and then flare back out at the tip. The rest of the ‘brush’ is completely metal, with ridges that go all the way along the wand. It takes inspration from k-beauty mascaras. But it’s also reminescent of a mascara that Hourglass came out with many years ago. I can honestly say I’ve never seen a brush like this before. But I do love how petite and precise it is. Allowing each lash to get evenly coated with product and the metal ridges help with lift and curl for me.

The formula is a stock standard tubing mascara formula. I don’t see any really stand out lash care ingredients outside of castor oil. Which not only helps make this a glossy formula, but it does have lash conditioning benefits. One thing I will note is that I consider this formula to be a true tubing formula. Meaning that the only thing that can remove this mascara is water. Even an oil based cleanser doesn’t remove this fully.

Now, I will be the first person to admit, this wand took a second for me to get used to. But once I got the hang of it, I found it to be a very easy brush to use. As I mentioned before, I would use the bristles side to coat the lashes evenly with product to build up the effect. And then I would use the metal ridges to help with curl and lift. The end result was lashes that had a solid amount of length and lift. But looked super flared out and defined. This is the kind of effect that I like the most for my lashes and my eye shape. Overall, I was very, very impressed.

Which brings us to the wear test. And as always, I put this formula through it’s paces. The end result after 9 hours of wear? My lashes looking bascially exactly the same. I mean it. I had no drooping, no transfer, no flaking, no smudging, no nothing. I even had a hard time remembering which photo went in which spot because the end effect is so similar. I’ve tried countless tubing mascara’s over the year. And this is the first I’ve come across in a while that looks as good at the end of the day than it did at the start.

Overall, this is a run, don’t walk. The Mecca Max Fangirl Panoramic Tubing Mascara is officially my frontrunner for mascara of the year. I am truly, honestly blown away by how good this formula is. And the wand makes it so easy. You absolutely have to try this. You won’t regret it. Have you tried the Mecca Max Fangirl Panoramic Tubing Mascara? Let me know in the comments.

Cheers and love
