Spotlight On – The Undupeables: High End Beauty Favourites

Posted on May 26, 2026May 28, 2026 by emmiesbeautylifeadmin

Listen, we all love a bargain. And in the beauty space, there are so, so many incredible drugstore products that can stand toe to toe with their higher end counterparts. But there are a special few products out there that are, in my eyes anyways, 100% worth their high price tag. These are the products that are so good, I won’t even wait for a sale to pick them up if I were to run out. They are just that worth it. And today, I’m going to share some of them in a new entry of my Spotlight On series. Let’s get into it!

K18 AIRWASH DRY SHAMPOO – $85.00
Trust me, I didn’t want to believe the hype about this one. If you ask me, $85 for a dry shampoo is the height of insanity! But when I sprayed this on my oily roots for the first time, I was immediately blown away at how quickly and effectively this soaked up all that oil. The formula is basically full proof. There is no annoying white cast that you have to immediately brush out. It’s pretty much weightless once it’s been distributed. A little bit goes an insanely long way. And I can easily stretch my hair wash days for about a week when I’m using this. My favourite bonus though is the boost of volume my hair has when I’m using this. Believe the hype, I fear.

WESTMAN ATELIER FACE TRACE CONTOUR STICK – $79.00
Yeah, no one is shocked to see this here. Seeing that it has been my favourite cream bronzer for the past 5 freaking years. This formula cannot be compared to anything else on the market. It’s a gel cream that glides onto the skin like a dream. It is the only cream bronzer that I trust to apply directly to my face as I know it won’t disrupt the makeup underneath. It wears like an absolute dream without having to set it with anything. The only real gripe I have with this bronzer is that the shade range is shit (yeah, you need to get on that). Otherwise, this is an S Tier bronzer and I’m yet to find anything I love more.

NIOD FLAVANONE MUD – $61.00
I was wondering what I wanted to put as my third pick for this post. And then I was applying the Flavanone Mud to my skin as part of my regular Sunday night routine and thought ‘Oh yeah. How many bottles of this have I gone through?’ Now, Is this high end in the traditional sense? Debatable. What it is though is wholly unique and unlike any other mud mask on the market. The Flavanone Mud takes a three stage approach to decongestion. It cleanses the skin through its unique clay complex, it protects the skin from further immolation and environmental stressors, and it continues to worth even after it’s been rinsed off the skin. This is the kind of mask that you can feel working on your skin (your mileage will vary as to how painful you find it to be). But ultimately, the results speak for themselves. I’ve been using this for 6 years and I can always tell when I haven’t used it in a while. Because my skin freaks the F out! I adore this mask and I actively recommend it to everyone I know.

And that is just a sample of some of my irreplaceable high end favourites. Let me know if you want me to turn this into a series. Because I could very easily do that with this. Let me know your high end beauty favourites in the comments.

Cheers and love
