Emmie Chats – Discontinued Beauty Favourites: Part 7 – Huda, You Wound Me

Posted on June 23, 2026June 22, 2026 by emmiesbeautylifeadmin

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. The Beauty Gods giveth, and the Beauty Gods taketh away far too often for my taste. Yes, we are back with another list of amazing, life changing, incredible beauty products that have been taken way too soon. And some of these are truly personal at this point. Let’s get into it!

CHARLOTTE TILBURY BRIGHTENING YOUTH GLOW PRIMER
Kicking us off, we have my all time favourite Charlotte Tilbury primer. Gosh, this stuff is incredible. It’s so smoothing, so hydrating, and it added so much life to my skin. It has the most gorgeous, natural pearlescent finish. Not in a tin man way. More like a ‘my skin is healthy and radiant and perfect’ kind of way. This paired perfectly with pretty much every foundation I tried it with. This one really breaks my heart because Charlotte Tilbury had a real gem here.

REVLON ILLUMINANCE SERUM TINT
Now this was one that I never ended up reviewing for the blog (the shade range was a bit meh). But for something light I could chuck on my skin for day to day wear, the Illuminance Serum Tint was a great, affordable option. Just enough coverage to make yourself look put together. And the most stunning natural finish. The part the sucks the hardest though is the skin tint Revlon replaced this with is just awful.

MAC STUDIO FIX POWDER (The Original Version)
OK, fine. Now that I’ve tried the new Studio Fix, I have to concede that it doesn’t hold a candle to the OG. Like, the new version is fine. It does the job. But when it comes to setting your base within an inch of it’s life, NOBODY was doing it like Studio Fix Powder. I was fortunate enough to have picked up a new one right before the change over. And you can pry it from my cold, dead hands. I’ll never part with it and I’ll treasure it forever.

HUDA BEAUTY TANTOUR BRONZER CREAM
Huda Beauty, you are just as bad as MAC when it comes to taking away my faves. The Tantour was actually what inspired this post, believe it or not. I had this lined up to appear in one of my stashes a few months back. Only to double check the price on Sephora and see it wasn’t available anymore. A quick Google search would conform my fears. The Tantour is no more. This stuff really packed a punch. Pigment for days and it lasts on the skin just as long. The shade range was also commendable for going very deep. But this does now mean that Huda Beauty doesn’t have a bronzer in their line anymore. New one launching soon?

ELLIS BROOKLYN SUPER AMBER EDP
When my dear friend Blanche told me that Super Amber was getting discontinued, I said, and I quote ‘WE RIDE AT DAWN!’ I truly cannot believe that Ellis Brooklyn is discontinuing this. Super Amber is easily one of the most unique fragrances I have in my collection. A skin scent that smells a little bit different no matter who’s wearing it. It is my go to ‘I don’t know what mood I’m in and I just want to chuck a fragrance on’ scent. It’s so warm, soothing, comforting, a little bit musky. Ellis Brooklyn, I am in your WALLS!

*Phew*. I feel better now. Can the universe please stop taking away good things for five minutes? That would be awesome. Let me know what discontinued faves you’re mourning in the comments.

Cheers and love
Emily xo
