What? You thought I only had a Rhode haul last month? You seriously thought I wouldn’t immediately get onto the biggest beauty launch of the year? You so thought wrong!
That’s right, after five long years, Marc Jacobs Beauty has made it’s grand return to the beauty world. This has easily been one of the most anticipated beauty launches in recent memory. Especially when you consider how long this rebrand had been rumoured. For those who may be newer to the makeup space, back in the days of 2014-2019, Marc Jacobs Beauty was one of the more widely beloved brands in the space. They had so many fan favourites. The Foundation, the Coconut Primer, the Omega Bronzer! Just banger after banger after banger. Personally, I was a huge fan of their eyeshadow formula (I’ll forever regret decluttering my palettes).
So, it’s very interesting to see them not only come back in a very different beauty era than when they left. But come back with the aesthetic they have. That’s probably where I’ll start first. Marc Jacobs Beauty is out with the sleek black packaging and has fully embraced maximalism! We saw a hint of this with the OG line (I remember that Cherry Collection vividly). But this new packaging is big, bold, whimiscal, and fun. There was quite a bit of critcism online over the new packaging. The main complaint being that it looked tacky (to which I must say, have you never seen a Marc Jacobs Fragrance bottle?). Personally, I absolutely love it! It’s been too long since makeup has felt fun.
But now, we must get to the fun bit and talk about what I got, and more importantly, where I got it from! Because Marc Jacobs Beauty doesn’t launch in Sephora Australia until September 1st. However, Selfridges is the stockist for the UK and they will ship internationally (be prepared to pay for it though as it isn’t cheap). So, I did what any beauty lover would and picked up a sample of everything in the new line. There are seven products at the time of writing. I bought six of them (I skipped over the highlighter gel). I’ll spend the next few weeks playing with them behind the scenes. And come September 1st, I can tell you what’s worth picking up! Ok, I’ve yapped enough. Let’s get into this haul!
*Em’s Note* Pricing is from the Selfridges website and is in AUD. I will update with Sephora Australia pricing after the launch.

Let’s start with the biggie. The first thing to land in my cart was the MARC JACOBS BEAUTY LEGALLY BRONZE BRONZER – $73.00. Now, confession time, I never tried the original Omega Bronzer (I’ll give you a second to pick up the socks that just blew off). My defense is that I wasn’t a huge bronzer wearer back when this was at it’s height and I thought I would never use it. Clearly, I was wrong. There are nine shades in this range. I picked up the shade Light. So far, it looks promising.

Next up, you know I had to get one of the MARC JACOBS BEAUTY JOYSTICK BLUSH STICKS – $59.00. I’m a blush girly at heart and this formula sounds amazing. I got the shade Shady Business, which is described as a rosewood nude. Definitely the kind of shade I would use on a regular basis. All of the shades in this range look super punchy and bright. I would be curious to see if this is a range that gets expanded on. Plus, how stinkin’ cute is this packaging? I am obsessed.

Of course a lipstick made it’s way into my cart. I got one of the MARC JACOBS BEAUTY HEART ON SHINE LIPSTICKS – $59.00. I picked the shade Eat It Up, described as a cool medium beige. I love a cool toned nude in winter. I have fond memories of the original lipstick formula. So I hope that this stands up. It’s supposed to be both a long wear and high shine formula.

The items I was most excited to revisit though were the eyeshadows. This time around, Marc Jacobs has gone down the single shadow route as opposed to palettes. I got two of the MARC JACOBS BEAUTY BORN STAR CREAM TO POWDER EYESHADOW – $51.00. Which is the most I’ve ever paid for a single shadow. But when have I ever been responsible? I got two of the metallic shades. Clapback, a pink and bronze duochrome. And Serving, a pinky nude with irdescent pearls.

One product I was hoping to make it into the line was a mascara. And Mr Jacobs must have heard me on that one. I got the MARC JACOBS BEAUTY FLASHES PANORAMIC VOLUME MASCARA – $59.00. In black, of course. Now, I did review the Velvet Noir Mascara back in the early days of the blog. I remember liking the brush, but hating the formula. And interestingly, the Flashes Mascara does have a similar shaped brush head to the Velvet Noir. So, this could be very interesting. Expect my review on this one soon.

Lastly, for shits and giggles, I got one of the MARC JACOBS BEAUTY DRAWN THIS WAY EYELINERS – $47.00. This is the other *super popular in the old line but I never tried it then* product in the range. So many people loved these liners. So, here’s hoping I love the update. I got the shade So Tea, a lovely bronze duochrome metallic shade.
And that is a wrap on my Marc Jacobs Beauty haul! All of these products will be featured in my upcoming Shop My Stash series. So, I guess I have some work to do! Let me know in the comment whether you’ve picked anything up from Marc Jacobs Beauty. Or are you waiting for the Aussie launch? Have an amazing Tuesday.
Cheers and love
