Emmie’s Empties – March 2020

Now, I know what you’re thinking. ‘Emily, why are you bringing up March? That month was a dumpster fire!’ I know it was, trust me. Outside of my wedding, March of 2020 can go straight in the bin. But on the topic of bins and dumpsters, I have one last March task that I need to do. And that is, of course, go through my empties!

This month was a fairly light one in terms of products used. But I discovered quite a few new favourites. So, if you want to know what I used up, just keep reading!

JIINJU BEAUTY GINSENG & EUCALYPTUS UNDER EYE MASKS – $5.00
I got these in my most recent Bellabox. And I mentioned that my undereyes could use a little pick me up. You know what? These were pretty rad! They sat nicely and didn’t irritate that area. I would totally grab these again!

WANDER BEAUTY BAGGAGE CLAIM GOLD UNDER EYE MASKS – $41.00
Now these, I used on my wedding day! And while I thought they did a good job, they are really expensive. So while I would definitely use them again, I wouldn’t rush out and buy them

CHRISTOPHE ROBIN CLEASNING VOLUMISING PASTE – $69.00
I really didn’t know what to expect from this when I got this in my Bellabox. But I ended up really loving it. It starts out like a clay. But it works up to a really lovely lather and it left my hair feeling really good. If I ever saw this on sale, I would actually grab it.

FLORAL STREET YLANG YLANG ESPRESSO – $120.00
OK, first of all. The scent of this lasts all freaking day! A little bit goes a very long way. While I wasn’t a huge fan of this scent, I would definitely consider trying another Floral Street fragrance in the future. Side note, my mum loved this perfume. And she isn’t a perfume person.

ACQUA DI PARMA CHINOTTO DI LIGURIA – $ 155.00
I actually used this up a while ago and just kept forgetting to put it in my empties box. I have actually forgotten what this smelt like. Probably won’t purchase

DRUNK ELEPHANT F-BALM ELECTROLYTE FACIAL – $83.00
I scored this in a Beauty Loop box mere weeks after purchasing the full size! And to be honest, I’m still on the fence as to how I feel about this. As a moisturiser, it’s actually lovely. But it is pricey (I actually think I paid more for this at the time)

DRUNK ELEPHANT T.L.C. FRAMBOOS GLYCOLIC NIGHT SERUM – $144.00
Speaking of F-Balm, this mini came with the F-Balm and I used it up pretty quickly. I already have the full size but I have another product that is supposed to be a dupe for this that I want to try first before I consider rebuying this.

MAUI MOISTURE SHEA BUTTER CONDITIONER – $21.99
Strong coconut scent aside, I did enjoy this conditioner Left my hair smooth without weighing it down.

LIVING PROOF PERFECT HAIR DAY SHAMPOO – $45.00
I know that this is beloved online, but I really don’t have an opinion on this. It wasn’t anything special. Probably won’t purchase.

Loved this! Already repurchased!

ANDALOU NATURALS CANNACELL GLOW MASK – $24.99
I loved this a lot too! I call it ‘The Good Burn’ because it feels like it’s burning all of my dead skin cells off my face. If I had one criticism, the scent is very strong. But I will absolutely repurchase!

COLLAGENESIS BY SKINN CONCENTRATED MULTI-ACTION EYE AREA TREATEMENT – $52.00
This was interesting. As an eye cream, it was pretty good. Very hydrating. But the packaging sucks! I love the pump style packaging for moisturizers. But because you need only a little pump of eye cream, it was hard to get the right amount. So I definitely wasted at least a third of this. If they changed the packaging, I might repurchase it.

GLOW LAB BLACKBERRY & BAY BODY WASH – $9.00
Normally I wouldn’t bring up body washes here. But I really enjoyed this one! It had a nice, fruity scent and a really good lather. Also, love a pump! I would repurchase.

LUSH YOG NOG SHOWER CREAM – LIMITED EDITION
Snow Fairy who? Holy shit, guys! Yog Nog is the real deal and I cannot wait to get my hands on it again!
