With the end of this garbage fire of a year finally in sight, I figured that now was the right time to do one last check in on my 2020 Project Pan. When I did my first and only check in back in July, I lamented in my lack of success with this project and how little I did. This time, I can somewhat rejoice!
That’s right folks. While I didn’t complete everything that I set out to do with this project, the products that I did reach my goals with are products that I’ve had for an embarrassingly long time and I’m glad to have used them up. So, if you want to see how I did, just keep reading!
COMPLETED MIDWAY
MARIO BADESCU FACIAL SPRAY WITH ALOE, CUCUMBER AND GREEN TEA
I finished this one about six months ago. If you want to hear my thoughts, I mentioned it in my empties.
NOW COMPLETED
FACE BY R PORE PERFECTING FACE PRIMER
A genuinely lovely primer that smoothed out my pores. I believe that this version has been discontinued but they have recently reformulated so I might look into it in the new year.
L’OREAL TRUE MATCH FOUNDATION
Ignore that drippy stuff on the sides. I cannot pump anything else out so this stuff is finally done! The True Match was by far the oldest foundation in my collection and while I’m sad that it’s done, I’m happy to move onto using different products.
IT COSMETICS OIL FREE MATTE CC CREAM
While I’m certain this isn’t 100% empty, it has been getting harder and harder to get anything to pump out. So, I’m counting it as done. Would I repurchase this? Maybe not this version. While I did like it, I want to try the original version.
RIMMEL MATCH PERFECTION LOOSE POWDER/COLOURPOP NO FILTER LOOSE POWDER
Now, here’s the thing. I probably could have finished this months ago. But I kept getting sent mini powders that I kept adding to this container. But it’s now very done. I would happily repurchase the Rimmel powder again. It’s a great, no nonsense powder that is fantastic for setting under the eye concealer.
BENEFIT HOOLA BRONZER
The only thing I wanted to do with my Hoola Bronzer was hit some semblance of pan. And would you look at that?! I squealed so loudly, I shocked my husband and my cat. I’ll keep using this, but I’m happy to use some of my other bronzers now.
MAC FIX PLUS CHERRY BLOSSOM
I managed to finish this one this morning. I was initially using it purely to set my makeup. But I was also using it as just a facial mist on its own. I’ll always love Fix Plus so it’s a repurchase for sure for me. Also, I can finally retire this bottle.
NOT COMPLETED – WILL ROLL OVER
HOURGLASS CONFESSION LIPSTICK in I’LL NEVER STOP
I got lazy with this one again. Though I did manage to use quite a bit of it. I wasn’t wearing a lot of lip products so that’s the reason why I wasn’t wearing this. I do want to do a Project Pan in 2021 (spoilers). So, I’ll probably roll this into that.
NOT COMPLETED – DECLUTTER
TARTE SHAPE TAPE CONCEALER
Guys. I tried. I really, really tried. But this concealer just needs to depart from my collection. It’s too thick and heavy for my face and I just wasn’t using it at all. I might give this to my sister as she did enjoy using it.
And there we are. My 2020 Project Pan has now drawn to a close. Definitely a learning curve for me. But overall, I did enjoy the experience and I definitely want to do this again in 2021. Did you do a Project Pan this year? Let me know in the comments below!
Cheers and love
