Well, that was a hell of a launch, wasn’t it!
In case you missed it (and if you did miss it, how?), Charlotte Tilbury launched in store and online in Australia and New Zealand last week. And if you guessed that I was up at 6am for the online launch, you would be correct. Just talking about the launch for a second, I was pretty impressed. A lot of the products were either the same price as the Charlotte Tilbury website or slightly cheaper. And while I was disappointed by the face palettes not being in stock, there was still a lot there (they even had the Makeup Kits in stock online).
Now, if you also guessed that I grabbed a few goodies from the launch, you would be correct again. I mean? I had to! These were all products that I had on my wishlist but held back on buying from the Charlotte Tilbury website when the Mecca launch was announced. And now I have them and I am so excited to talk about them. So, let’s get into it.
I ended up placing two orders that morning. The first order consisted of the the two big ticket items that I really wanted. The first of which being the CHARLOTTE TILBURY AIRBRUSH BRONZER in MEDIUM – $74.00. I have been drooling over this bronzer since it launched. And now that I have it, I have some questions. Like, why is the packaging so big?! I am not joking. Compared to the pressed powder, this is giant. This is by far the biggest bronzer that I own now.
When I mentioned on Instagram that the I had bought the bronzer, I had a few people asking me to compare the shade I picked up (Medium) to other bronzers that I own. I have it swatched at the top, and in descending order, we have the FENTY BEAUTY SUN STALK’R BRONZER in SHADY BIZ, the HUDA BEAUTY GLOWISH SOFT RADIANCE BRONZER in 03 TAN LIGHT, and the MECCA MAX SUNLIT SKIN BRONZING POWDER in BRONZING LIGHT. I have to say that Medium was a good call for me. Also, this bronzer swatches terribly. But swatching and applying are two totally different things. So stay tuned for my thought soon.
The other big thing that I grabbed was the CHARLOTTE TILBURY EASY EYE PALETTE in SUPER NUDES – $85.00. Now, this I was surprised to see in stock. The Super Nudes Collection was a very recent launch for Charlotte Tilbury. And I was fully anticipating on seeing it arrive on a later date. But it’s here and I had to grab it. I adore the original Easy Eye Palette. And these shades are very up my alley. I have also heard that this is a newer formula for Charlotte Tilbury, so I shall investigate that.
Now we are on to order number 2. The first thing that ended up in my cart was the CHARLOTTE TILBURY EYES TO MESMERISE in AMBER GOLD – $47.00. I already own one of these in Walk Of No Shame and the formula is *chef’s kiss*. So easy to use and they last a long time on the lid. It was between this shade and Oyster Pearl (which I might go back for). But I don’t own a lot of these neutral bronze shades in a cream format.
The final two products were both recommended to me by my fellow bloggers. Camille over at ON A BEAUTY BENDER has been raving about the CHARLOTTE TILBURY MAGIC VANISH – $49.00 since before I can remember. I picked up the shade Fair to give a go and so far, I quite like it. It’s super creamy, but once it’s set down, it doesn’t budge.
And because I listen to everything that she says, I picked up the CHARLOTTE TILBURY AIRBRUSH FLAWLESS SETTING SPRAY – $49.00 off the recommendation of Rosa over at HONESTLY ROSA. I’m a bit iffy these days when it comes to setting sprays. I like them for setting down any powderiness on my face, but I’m more on the fence in terms of them adding any longevity to my makeup. So, seeing as we are heading into summer here, it’s as good a time as any to put this to the test!
And that is my Charlotte Tilbury haul! Did I need any of this? Probably not. But I am so excited to now own all of these and review them for you all. Let me know if you picked up anything from the launch in the comments below!
Cheers and love
