Emmie’s Empties – October 2021

An empties going up before the end of the month? Perish the though! Yes folks, it’s empties time once again. Just a short one this time but I did manage to use up a few things that had been in my collection for more than a minute. So, let’s dive in!

FLORAL STREET WONDERLAND PEONY – $195.00
I used this one up a little while ago. But I remember it like it was yesterday. Such a gorgeous sweet, floral scent that was so easy to wear. I definitely want to grab the larger size.

GLOW RECIPE WATERMELON GLOW HYALURONIC CLAY PORE TIGHT FACIAL – $60.00
I was lucky enough to be invited to an information session with the founders of Glow Recipe. And this mask was sent as a thank you to all attendees. And I have to say, I love it! Very quick to use, feels so lovely on the face and it left my skin feeling both cleansed and nourished. I do want to grab the full size, but only when I’ve used up a few of the other masks in my collection.

SSAINT PARFUM SMOKESHOW – $40.00
Probably my favourite discovery of the year. I am still so obsessed with this! I already have the full size bottle and I’ve been recommending it to everyone I know.

GUNK OFF MAKEUP REMOVING CLEANSING BALM – $48.00*
The best cleansing balm I’ve ever tried, bar none. The only reason I haven’t repurchased this is because I still have a few balm cleansers floating around in my collection. But rest assured, once they are done, I’ll be ordering this again!

HENRY & LEXI DAILY FACIAL TONER – $44.95*
One of my favourite mists! It smells like ginger punch and it’s such a refreshing hit on the skin. I am currently reusing this bottle for another toner because I like the spritzer on it.

Q+A GRAPEFRUIT CLEANSING BALM – $18.00*
I got sent this a little while ago and I have to say, I really enjoyed it. The fact it comes in a tube makes it super convenient (not to mention hygienic). And it did a really good job at breaking my makeup down. If I had come critique, it’s that I did use this up really quickly. But it’s also really inexpensive and Priceline does do skincare sales fairly often.

ULTRA VIOLETTE QUEEN SCREEN SKINSCREEN – $47.00
GOAT Status. Need I say more?

KRAVE BEAUTY GREAT BARRIER RELIEF – $65.00
This one I’m in two minds about. I liked using this after retinol to add a healing boost to my skin. Having said that, I probably won’t repurchase it any time soon because it is a little on the pricey side for what it is and I want to see what else is out there.

PIXI HYDRATING MILKY SERUM – $35.00*
I liked this way more than I expected! A very light, yet super hydrating serum that I loved using in the morning. Might pick it up again one day.

ESSANO HYDRATING ROSEHIP MICELLAR WATER – $13.00*
While I won’t be abandoning my beloved Bioderma any time soon, this is actually really nice! And if you want a budget friendly Micellar Water for first thing in the morning, this is a great one. It left my skin feeling cleansed without feeling stripped and there is no fragrance or oiliness to it.

And those are my empties for October. Gotta say, I’m pretty proud of some of the products that I’ve used up. Gives me an opportunity to try out new things! Let me know in the comments what you used up this month
