What’s this? Me taking two holidays this year? Perish the thought! That’s right folks, I spent a good chunk of last week on holiday’s with the hubby. And whenever I go away, that means one thing and one thing only. Shopping till I drop! I did some pretty big damage while I was away. So, let’s check out what I bought!
In comparison to my last Townsville trip, this haul is definitely more makeup centric. The only skincare I bought was the REVOLUTION SKINCARE MULTI ACID PEELING SOLUTION. I have wanted to try one of these peeling solutions for ages. And this is meant to be the less potent dupe to the one from The Ordinary.
I also picked up the SWISSE BRIGHT SKIN BOOSTER supplements. I’ve been using the Sleep and Renew Booster’s for quite a while now. And I’ve heard amazing things about these ones.
Next up, a ton of drugstore foundations! I actually had a chance to properly shade match myself for the first time in a while. And I picked out a few of my more requested foundations for future reviews. I grabbed the NYX CAN’T STOP WON’T STOP FOUNDATION, the MAKEUP REVOLUTION CONCEAL & DEFINE FOUNDATION, the L’OREAL TRUE MATCH NUDE TINTED SERUM, and the MAYBELLINE FIT ME TINTED MOISTURISER. Stay tuned for my reviews in the new year! (yes, I do have a backlog)
A few face and eye goodies next, I picked up the MAKEUP REVOLUTION HIGHLIGHT RELOADED in RAISE THE BAR, the MILANI ROSE POWDER BLUSH in ROMANTIC ROSE and the FLOWER BEAUTY PETAL PLAY SHADOW QUAD in BERRY MORE. I have had an idea in my brain for the last little while for a dupes post and I want to play can compare these products to some of my higher end faves.
Staying with eyes, I grabbed another one of the REVLON COLORSTAY GLAZE STICKS in ROSE. I bought the bronze one the last time I went away and the formula is really nice. I also managed to grab two of the RIMMEL WONDER’CLOUD SOFT SHADOWS in HONEY DRIP and MISTY MAUVE. I remember seeing these get a lot of positive buzz so I’m excited to try them out.
On the topic of positive buzz, I had seen a ton of people buzzing about the new RIMMEL THE MULTITASKER CONCEALER. So naturally I picked it up. I got my hands on two of the newer MAYBELLINE ULTIMATTE SLIM LIPSTICKS in MORE BUFF and MORE TAUPE. Finally, from the drugstore, I grabbed the FLOWER BEAUTY PETAL POUT LIP COLOUR in SPICED PETAL. I have heard this is a dupe for Mac’s Velvet Teddy, so I shall investigate that one.
Now, a trip to Townsville means a trip to Myer. And this time, I went all out with Dior! I picked up the new DIOR FOREVER NATURAL BRONZE HEALTHY GLOW BRONZNG POWDER in SHADE 02 and the DIOR FOREVER NUDE NATURAL NUDE LIGHTWEIGHT FOUNDATION. Now, I had every intention of adding this foundation to the review pile, as I was told by the lovely Myer staffer that it had a shade range of 40. However, I found out when I got home that this particular one only had a shade range of 17. So, I probably won’t give this one the full review treatment. However, the OG formula does have 40 shades. So, hey, it gives me an excuse to shop again!
Now, that’s everything that I picked up while I was away. But I did have a few packages rock up while I was on the road. So I figured I would share them too. First of all, Deciem! They are doing their Slowvember sale this month. With a sizable 23% everything on their site. Now, I very easily could of gone ham here. But seeing as I am pretty set for skincare, I restricted myself to the NIOD SUPEROXIDE DISMUTASE SACCHARIDE MIST. This is a product that has been floating in and out of my cart pretty much all year. And seeing as I’m down to the dregs of the only mist I’m currently using, I saw that as justification to making the purchase.
Next up, the continuation of a long standing tradition. The beginning of November means a new big Huda Beauty palette. I am not much of a makeup collector these days, but I cannot resist the big Huda Beauty palettes. And this year’s palette, the HUDA BEAUTY ROSE QUARTZ EYESHADOW PALETTE, is a thing of utter beauty! Stay tuned for an Emmie Swatches in the future!
I also picked up the HUDA BEAUTY LUMINOUS MATTE FOUNDATION. This is the new updated formula of her best selling foundation. I picked it up because I have the original formula still in my collection and I want to do a comparison between the two. For curiosity sake.
And finally, the pièce de résistance (and quite possibly the bougiest thing that I’ve ever bought) the Limted Edition HERMES POUDRE D’ORFERVE HIGHLIGHTER. Hey, I said that I was weak when this launched. And how could I not have it? I mean, I might never use it. But I have it!
And that is my Townsville haul! Now, this would be the point where I should stop spending. But Black Friday is literally next week. Let me know in the comments what you want to see me review first.
Cheers and love

That Niod mist is so well loved in the beauty community. I think the spiced petal shade is a dupe but I don’t like the FB formula oops. And keen for that highlighter dupe woohoo! Hope you had a lovely holiday xx
Wow, so many goodies here! The Hermes highlighter is absolutely stunning! I hope you enjoy each and every one of these.
