Hey everyone! We are back again with another empties post. This is actually one of the biggest ones I’ve done in a minute. But that’s mostly because I finally got around to grabbing the empties in my shower. So, let’s do the fun thing!
BRIOGEO FAREWELL FRIZZ SMOOTHING SHAMPOO – $34.00 AND CONDITIONER – $34.00
Used these up while I was away earlier in November. I liked them both enough. But because I don’t necessarily deal with a lot of frizz, when the time does come that I pick up full sizes of Briogeo, this probably won’t be the range that I buy first.
WISHFUL SKIN YO GLOW ENZYME SCRUB – $60.00
Snuck this one away too and god, it’s so good! I already have a full size one ready to go.
FRANK BODY FIZZY BODY SCRUB – LIMITED EDITION
Kinda salty that Frank Body bought back the Rose Gold Illuminator for holiday this year and not the Fizzy scrub. Because this stuff rocks! Not only does it smell like candy, it fizzed up when it came into contact with damp skin and I loved the sensation. Is it kind of a gimmicky product? Yes. Don’t care!
INNISFREE VOLCANC CALMING PORE CLAY MASK – $30.00
Really lovely, light mask for anyone who might not like the heaviness of a regular clay mask. I would actively seek this out.
PROPLENISH SNOW ALGAE ANTI-AGING FACE MASK – $39.95 for a pack of 4
Definitely one of the more unique face masks that I’ve tried. These are those bio cellulose style ones that sit really nicely on the face. And they are super saturated with serum. I still have a few of these left and I’ll probably save them for when the temp gets super high here.
TATCHA THE SILK PEONY EYE CREAM – $85.00
If you saw any of my morning/evening skincare routines over the last few years, this was the eye cream that was in nearly all of them. And it’s still not empty! I think that the formula has taken a turn though. Which is why I’m getting rid of it now. It is a beautiful eye cream. But a little bit of this goes a long way and I do tend to prefer lighter formulas these days.
AUSTRALIS PRIMER THE ORIGINAL – $6.00
Nice enough. Not really much else to say about it.
AUSTRALIS FRESH & FLAWLESS PRESSED POWDER – $15.95
If you saw my ‘Beauty I’ve Repurchased’ post from a while back, you will already know that I love this powder! But this was in the older packaging which broke in my handbag. So, while I would normally scrape it out, it’s gone all hardpan and funky.
STILA MAGNUM XXX MASCARA – $33.00
It’s rare that I hate a mascara on sight. But I’m now two for two with Stila mascaras. What a god awful mascara. This irritated my eyes like you wouldn’t believe and it smudged up a storm. Avoid.
FRESH LOTUS YOUTH PRESERVE DREAM FACE CREAM – $79.00
Used this as my night cream while I was away. And out of all of the samples I took with me, this would be the one I would pick up first. The formula is gorgeous! Not too thin, not too thick and my skin drank it up.
PCA SKIN REBALANCE – $72.50
This however was just ok. A little on the thin side for my liking.
YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE SUPERCLAY PURIFY + CLEAR POWER MASK – $56.00*
So freaking good! I especially loved this during the days my skin was feeling congested. I consider this a solid third in my top clay mask ranking (behind Sand and Sky and the Flavanone)
SCOTT + SULLIVAN THE MOISTURISER – $88.00*
I was gutted when I realised I used this up. This is such a bomb moisturiser. And I would absolutely consider picking this up.
MECCA COSMETICA MECCA ATHLETICA SKIN PERFECTING BODY WASH – $38.00
Scored this as a freebie a few months back. And while I did enjoy it (especially for the bumpy bits on my arms), I did use it up really quickly. I also wasn’t wild about the packaging. Mine was a little leaky.
SKINCEUTICALS SERUM 10 – $140.00
If you are wanting to dip your toe into the more hardcore Vitamin C realm, this is a good one to try out. I have noticed a huge difference in my skin overall since I introduced this. Next time however, I might go the whole hog and buy the C E Feurlic
REXONA CLINICAL PROTECTION – $13.00
Listen everyone. I have tried so, so many natural deodorants over the last few years. And yet, I keep coming back to this one. Do you want to know why? Because it works! I’ll forever repurchase it.
PIXI MILKY TONIC – $26.10*
Full disclosure, I haven’t finished this one yet. But I have decanted it into a spray bottle so I can use it more effectively. As far as the product goes, it’s not bad at all.
PROPLENISH MARINE COLLAGEN + – $59.95*
I’ve been a big fan of using collagen in my routine. And I really loved the convenience of this one. I used one sachet a day in either my coffee or porridge and I went about my day. Not sure I used this for long enough to notice a huge difference. But I would consider using them again.
NEUTRIDERM HAIR ENHANCER SHAMPOO – $74.95* AND CONDITIONER – $74.95*
I saved these two for last because I have had more requests to talk about them recently than any other product in my routine. And if I’m being brutally honest, these would have to be the two biggest letdowns that I’ve used this year.
Now, don’t get it twisted. I was over the moon when Neutriderm reached out and asked me to try these. And I really wanted them to work for me But for the life of me, I just couldn’t. When I used the product following the instructions (the shampoo says to massage for two minutes), it dried my hair out really badly. You know how I mentioned earlier that I don’t usually deal with frizz? This made me so frizzy. So I reduced the massage to one minute/30 seconds. And it was like a switch flipped. My hair because so greasy and heavy. As in I had to up my hair washing days from 3 days a week to five. And when the product costs as much as it does, that’s a pricey venture. Worst of all, it didn’t do much of anything for my hair breakage. I am legitimately gutted over this one. But I’m sorry, I can’t lie, This was a dud for me. I do know a ton of people who do love it. But not me.
And that is my November Empties! And due to the way I do these, this will be my last empties for the year. I hope you enjoyed it and as always, let me know what your big empties were in the comments below!
Cheers and love
Emily xo
