Emmie’s Empties – December 2021

Happy 2022 everybody! I do hope that everyone had an amazing break. I spent it relaxing and doing a whole lotta nothing. But we are back on the blogging grind. And we are starting off with my December empties. This is a lighter month. But I have a few products that I’ve had for a while in here. Which we love to see! So, let’s get emptying!

SAND & SKY FLASH PERFECTION EXFOLIATING TREATMENT – $56.90
I used to love this product back in the day. But I do find this to be a bit much for my face these days. I ended up finishing it in the shower. I probably wouldn’t repurchase.

PIXI HYDRATING MILKY CLEANSER – $36.00*
Another one that ended up in the shower for me. And good thing too. Because this left my skin super squeaky and I was super grateful that I didn’t use it on my face. I wouldn’t grab this.

ANDALOU NATURALS KOMBUCHA ENZYME EXFOLIATING MASK – $24.95
This was in my 2021 Project Pan (which I won’t be revisiting, don’t @ me). And when I went to use it up during December, I quickly noticed that the formula had taken a turn for the worse. I also had another Andalou Naturals mask that went bad on me quite quickly (I, like an idiot, chucked it). So, I’m becoming wary of their formulations.

FIRST AID BEAUTY KP BUMP ERASER BODY SCRUB – $43.00
Now this, I really enjoyed. It’s super scrubby and thick. And it did an excellent job at smoothing up my arms and butt. I would actually pick this up again once it’s back in stock at Sephora.

EVO RITUAL SALVATION REPAIRING CONDITIONER – $34.00
Not gonna lie, I fully thought this was way more empty than what it was. But this was another case of the formula turning (it’s been real hot, y’all!). Also, I liked the shampoo in this range way more than the conditioner.

L’OREAL PARADISE EXTATIC MASCARA – discontinued
And now, we weep, as I will most likely never be able to buy this mascara in this form again. Godspeed.

CHARLOTTE TILBURY PILLOW TALK PUSH UP LASHES MASCARA – $46.00
I reviewed this back in September. And all of my opinions stand. It’s nice enough, but it’s a bit too smudgy for me to consider repurchasing.

YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE KALE + GREEN TEA SPINACH SUPERFOOD CLEANSER – $19.00*
I’ll be gushing over this one in about a week’s time. So, I’ll save my thoughts for there.

NARS SMUDGE PROOF EYESHADOW BASE – $37.00
Is eyeshadow primer. Is fine. Won’t repurchase.

GLOW RECIPE WATERMELON GLOW SLEEPING MASK – $31.00
Well everyone, I finally found the one Glow Recipe product I genuinely don’t like. I just found this to be super uncomfortable to wear on the skin. And it balled up on me pretty badly. A strong no.

GLOW RECIPE WATERMELON GLOW PINK JUICE MOISTURISER – $30.00
This I liked a lot better than the mask. But I still wouldn’t necessarily repurchase it. I like my moisturisers to have a bit more body to them and this was just a little thin. If you have younger, combo/oily skin, you might like this one. But I’ll be holding out for that new Plum Plump one to launch at Mecca (soon…)

And that is my December empties! Like I said, a lighter one to start this year. But some of these products I’ve had for an embarrassingly long time. And it feels good for me to have finally used them up. Let me know in the comments how your Christmas was. And I’ll see y’all on Friday!
