Just when you thought we were safe from the sales, Sephora pulls out the big guns! That’s right y’all. From yesterday until Sunday, Sephora is doing 20% off store wide. And that is across all member levels. The only condition is that there is a minimum spend of $120 to qualify for the sale. But that’s a easy bar for us to reach.
Now, it has been a hot minute since I last did a recommendations post for the Sephora sale. And I have a bunch of new and fun goodies to chat about. So, if you want to see what my must buys from the sale are, just keep reading!
HUDA BEAUTY ROSE QUARTZ EYESHADOW PALETTE – $82.40
I’ll start with the big ticket item first. The Rose Quartz palette launched late last year and it quickly shot from being a palette that I picked up out of sheer obligation to being one of my absolute favourites. The mattes are easily some of her best, the shimmers are like butter. But it’s the duochrome shades that make this palette truly special. It’s such a lovely, feminine palette that I’m getting a ton of wear out of right now.
KAYALI EDEN JUICY APPLE 01 EAU DE PARFUM – $32.80
Staying with Huda, I was going to skip giving this one a recommendation because I felt like I had talked it to death on here. But the reality is that this is still the perfume that I’m wearing 90% of the time. It’s heaven in a bottle.
MILK MAKEUP HYDRO GRIP PRIMER – $41.60
I gave this primer a pretty sizable shout out when I did my end of year favourites. But I still don’t think I’ve truly expressed how much of a game changer this primer has been for me. I am 100% serious, if you a) have oily skin. Or b) live in a hot climate, you need to own this primer yesterday. It has dramatically improved the wear of my base makeup.
PATRICK TA MONOCHROME MOMENT VELVET BLUSH – $39.20
Patrick Ta launched here right around the same time as Makeup By Mario last year. And while I’m not as well versed in Patrick’s range as I am Mario’s, I will say that the blushes are a definite stand out. I have featured the single panned Monochrome Moment blush, but the newer Double Take Creme and Powder Blushes are beautiful too. Such a silky smooth, pigmented formula. And this shade (She’s Sincere) works just as well on the eyes as it does on the cheeks.
RARE BEAUTY PERFECT STROKES UNIVERSAL VOLUME MASCARA – $27.20
Another 2021 favourite that I can’t bring myself to stop using (and yes, I know that this one has more of a time limit). This might be my favourite high end mascara, period. And this is the one that I wear between reviews because I just love the effect it gives to my lashes.
LANEIGE LIP SLEEPING MASK – $22.40
I am aware that I am extremely late to the Laneige Lip Mask party. But now that I’m here, I’m not sure I can leave. This really is one of those products that everyone says is great and what do you know? Everyone was right! My obsession right now is the limited edition Chocolate flavour. But there are quite a few other flavours to choose from.
And those are my current picks for the sale. Now, before I leave you, as is tradition here, I’ll share with y’all my purchases from the sale. Because, yes, there were purchases made. I placed two orders yesterday morning (mostly to get me over the line to stay at Gold level). And those are…
KAYALI SWEET DIAMOND PINK PEPPER 25 EAU DE PARFUM – I mentioned in my perfume collection post that this was the scent that I had completely fallen in love with out of the Kayali set that I had picked up. And now that I’ve used up said sample, I figured it was high time to grab a larger size. Also, my 2nd wedding anniversary is coming up. So, this is my anniversary present to myself.
OLAPLEX NO .3 HAIR PERFECTOR TREATMENT – I’ve been using the Olaplex No. 4 and 5 for about a month now and I think I can see the hype surrounding them. My hair already feels a lot stronger and healthier. But whenever I see people talking about Olaplex online, they are usually referring to the No. 3 treatment. And whenever I hear people talk about the No. 3 Treatment, they refer it it as the second coming of Jesus for their hair. So, naturally, I had to grab it!
DIOR BACKSTAGE FACE AND BODY FOUNDATION – I have had so, so requests to review this over the years. And I’ve never said that I was immune to peer pressure. The main reason why it took this long was because I wasn’t sure what my shade in Dior was. I now know.
MILK MAKEUP RISE LIFTING + LENGTHENING MASCARA – I’ve seen this one pop up a few times on my TikTok feed and the reviews have been fairly positive. So, naturally, we have to see if it’s Mascara Queen Approved.
CAUDAILE INSTANT DETOX MASK – Oh man, speaking of TikTok popular. This mask absolutely blew up on TikTok and it was virtually impossible to find for a while there. But now, it’s back in stock and I had to have it!
DIOR LIP MAXIMIZER in ROSEWOOD – The final part of my ‘I’m ridiculously easily influenced to buy stuff’ series, I have seen these lip glosses everywhere at the moment. And they are supposed to give a slight plumping effect to the lips. I gotta try!
As always. let me know what you picked up in the sale down below!
Cheers and love
Emily xo
