Emmie’s Empties – March 2022

Happy April everyone! And, I guess, Happy April Fools Day. Don’t worry, there are no pranks here. All I have is all of these empties. If you’re new around here (howdy, by the way), this is the series where I chat about the products that I have used up during the month and whether or not I would repurchase them. I have a great assortment this month, so let’s dive on in!

GLOW RECIPE WATERMELON GLOW HYALURONIC CLAY PORE TIGHT FACIAL – $63.00
I’ve had a few samples of this now. And I have to say that I quite enjoy it! A nice, gritty texture that doesn’t have a super harsh dry down. As soon as I use up a few more masks, this might make it’s way into my cart.

TBH SKINCARE SKIN SHADY SPF 50+ SUNSCREEEN – $42.00
I used this today and it’s lovely. A thicker texture that I’m used to using. But I think for winter, this would suit my skin down to the ground. A certain pick up.

CERAVE HYDRATING CLEANSER – $13.99
Fuck it, you already know.

BENEFIT GOOF PROOF BROW PENCIL – $45.00
I think this was featured in one of my first hauls on this blog. Yeah, I’ve had it for a while. It snapped on me and that was what emptied it. I tend to be partial to brow gels and tints these days. So, I wouldn’t pick it up again. It’s still a good pencil, especially if you have thicker brows.

NATURIUM PURPLE GINSENG CLEANSING BALM – $33.00*
This was easily one of the most hyped cleansing balms online for a while there. And for the most part, I can see why. It does a great job at breaking up my makeup. The only holdback I have from giving it my full endorsement is that for me, it left a film on my skin after I rinsed it off. It went away after I did my second cleanse. But I also have a ton of other balm cleansers that don’t leave that feeling on my skin. I probably wouldn’t pick this up, personally speaking.

HOLIFROG GALILEE ANTIOXIDANT DEWY DROP – $74.00*
My goodness, I miss this already! Such a great, light serum that added a boost of hydration to my skin. As soon as I’m low on hydrating serums, I’ll pick this up.

GLOW RECIPE PLUM PLUMP HYALURONIC CREAM – $58.00
I have a lot to say about this one. As far as moisturisers go, this is such a fab one! Very light, and yet, so hydrating! Having said that, I have issues with the texture. It’s that proper jelly-like texture that can slip around easily. And I can say confidently that I burned a fifth of this because it slipped off my hand and down the sink. I also went through it very quickly (I bought it at launch back in late January). I would buy it again, but maybe for the summer.

NAIR LEG MASK HAIR REMOVAL AND BEAUTY TREATMENT – $14.99
This is one of these products that I use all the time and I never talk about. This is how I ‘shave’ my legs during the summer months.

BATISTE DRY SHAMPOO & DAMAGE CONTROL – $12.95
Dry shampoo is love. Dry shampoo is life. And I’ll always have a can of Batiste in my bathroom. Maybe not this one, though. It’s more expensive for not much difference.

CANCER COUNCIL FACE DAY WEAR MOISTURISER MATTE – $14.95
Holy shit, you guys! A sunscreen that I don’t like! It’s the texture for me. It feels chalky on my skin and it never sits quite right. Get the Face Fluid, it’s so much better.

SCHWARZKOPF COLOUR SPECIALIST HAIR COLOUR – $19.00
This has been my box dye of choice for a while now. And it has never steered me wrong. Not too dark, not too red.

NATURIUM MULTI-PEPTIDE MOISTURISER – $33.50*
I am *this* close to cutting this open so I can scrape out what’s left. Because this was a tube of magic! This is where all of the Naturium hype should be, in my opinion.
