Emmie Chats – If I Lost All Of My Makeup

Some of my favourite blog post ideas usually come from other people. And the inspiration for this post comes from the incredible JenLuvsReviews over on YouTube. She did a video last week talking about the makeup she would repurchase if she were to lose her whole collection. And I thought this was a fun experiment. I’ve done similar posts in the past. But this would be completely starting from scratch, armed with the knowledge I have now. So, if you want to see what I would pick up immediately if I were to start over, just keep reading!

Starting with base products, I would actually skip over primer to start. I would pick up one down the line because there are primers that I like. But none that I love enough to purchase it immediately. Which brings me to foundation. And this was one of the harder decisions to make. Because my tastes are always changing. But when I really thought about it, knowing what I know now, it has to be the ROSE INC SKIN ENHANCE LUMINOUS SKIN TINT – $81.00. Lighter coverage products have been my jam lately and this one is easily my favourite.

For concealer, I went with an all timer, the MAYBELLINE AGE REWIND DARK CIRCLE ERASER – $20.99. This has been my favourite concealer forever and I always have it in my collection. Staying with Maybelline, the MAYBELLINE FIT ME LOOSE FINISHING POWDER – $21.99 is perfect for both my under eyes and all over my face. And the CHARLOTTE TILBURY AIRBRUSH SETTING FLAWLESS SPRAY – $49.00 is a god tier setting spray. Literal perfection.

Eyes next. Firstly, I’ll weep over losing all 8 of my Pat McGrath palettes. And then I’ll pick up the MAKEUP BY MARIO MASTER MATTES PALETTE – $83.00. A surprising choice. But as someone who has been loving an all matte eyeshadow look, this has been my go to neutral palette for a while now. It has literally every neutral shade I could ever want. As for mascara, that decision was actually easy, the MECCA MAX WHIP LASH TUBING MASCARA – $25.00. This is another all timer for me. And it’s another one that I will always have on hand.

Getting onto cheeks. And it will shock you to learn that I went with cream products for both bronzer and blush (I wouldn’t buy a highlighter straight away). For the bronzer, the WESTMAN ATELIER FACE TRACE CONTOUR STICK in BISCUIT – $80.00 would land in my cart first. I cannot think of a contour or bronzer that I legitimately love more than this one. As for blush, the MECCA MAX OFF DUTY BLUSH STICK in PINCH – $19.00 would be my first pick. If you’ve seen me wear a pink blush lately, usually it’s this one.

Finally, we have lips. And this was dead easy. If I could only wear one lip combo for the rest of my life, it would be the HUDA BEAUTY LIP CONTOUR 2.0 in HONEY BEIGE – $30.00, topped with the TOWER 28 SHINEON LIP JELLY in CHILL – $26.03. I mean? My favourite liner with my favourite gloss formula? It’s a no brainer!
