Go Explore Makeup First Impressions – Designer Brands

I have always loved beauty subscription boxes. They are such a great way to discover new brands that you probably wouldn’t have heard of. And I’m always excited to discover new boxes to try out. Which is why I was over the moon when the lovely folks from Go Explore Makeup* approached me to try out their new subscription service.

But Emily? Who are Go Explore Makeup?

Go Explore Makeup is a new Australian based beauty subscription box that delivers 3-4 full sized makeup products to your doorstep every month! The awesome part is that the brands that they work with are usually smaller, indie brands. Which is something I can get behind, personally speaking. This month, they collaborated with Designer Brands, a brand that I’m especially fond of. So lets dive into the products that I got with this months box!

DESIGNER BRANDS RISE & PRIME LUMINSCENT PRIMER – $19.99
As I’ve been getting older, I’m beginning to notice that my skin is getting duller and in need of that extra hit of illumination and glow. Hopefully this will be perfect for that. It feels lovely and silky when I tried it on the back of my hand, with a soft, subtle glow that isn’t at all glittery. And the peachy tone with help with dullness. I’m very excited to try this!

DESIGNER BRANDS BRILLIANT SKIN BLUSH & ILLUMINATOR DUO – $14.99
A product that I already own and love, this duo contains a beautiful peachy pink blush (so perfect for spring) and a champagne gold highlighter. The powders are easy to apply, blend out beautifully and last ages on the skin.

DESIGNER BRANDS SET & SPRAY MAKEUP SETTING SPRAY – $11.99
I have mentioned once or twice here that I live three quarters of an inch from the surface of the sun. And I never wear makeup without some form of setting spray. So I’m constantly on the hunt for a good affordable option that makes my makeup last all day long. Hopefully, this will fit the bill! It contains Cucumber, Green Tea and Chamomile which helps soothe the skin and Jojoba oil to help hydrate.

Overall, I’m pretty impressed with this months box. Even though I already own one of the products, it’s something that I know that I like and will happily recommend to anyone. The other two items I’m super excited to try out and I will let you know at a later date if I like them as well!

Now, lets talk cost! Go Explore Makeup has three price levels for their boxes. If you simply want to try it for one month, it’s $29.94 plus $5.00 shipping. If you wish to do a month to month subscription however, it drops down to $24.94 plus $5.00 shipping. If you really like the box and want to do a six month subscription, it’s $149.94 and the shipping is free! They will ship anywhere in Australia. And if at any stage you need to cancel your subscription, they will do it no questions asked.
