Happy Tuesday, everyone. We are back with a new edition of my One Brand Recommendations series. And this time, I’m shaking things up a bit. Because the brand I’m featuring is actually a skincare brand. Which is something I haven’t done before in this series. So, which brand gets the honour of being my first one? Well, it has to be Glow Recipe!
In all seriousness, Glow Recipe has been vying for my number one skincare range for years. Their products are not only Instagram worthy in their cuteness. But their products work really well for me. And while I haven’t tried every single product that Glow Recipe has to offer, I’ve tried enough from them to know what’s good. So, these are my 10 must haves from Glow Recipe. Let’s dive on in.
*Em’s Note* All prices at the time of writing are as listed on the Mecca Australia website unless listed otherwise.
GLOW RECIPE AVOCADO CERAMIDE MOISTURE BARRIER CLEANSER – $28.00USD
*Em’s Note* At the time of writing, this product isn’t available in Australia.
I gave this one a big write up in my most recent favourites. So I won’t spend too much time on this. But the Moisture Barrier Cleanser is definitely in my top 3 favourite cleansers of all time. My skin feels so nourished after using this and it gets rid of any residual makeup or gunk off my face so easily. As soon as it *FINALLY* drops at Mecca, I will be buying another one.
GLOW RECIPE AVOCADO CERAMIDE RECOVERY SERUM – $72.00
I’m more than guilty of blasting my face with the hot water during this time of year. And for those times, this is the serum that I turn to. The Avocado Butter is so soothing to the skin. But it’s the Ceramides that really help boost my skin barrier. I love this morning and night!
GLOW RECIPE WATERMELON GLOW PHA + BHA PORE TIGHT TONER – $24.00
I’m iffy on toners. Especially the exfoliating ones. But the Pore Tight Toner is one of the few that I have repurchased over the years. I love how gentle the formula is. But I definitely notice a difference when I’m using it. In particular, around my nose and chin area. I was actually fortunate enough to sit in on a Glow Recipe panel featuring the two founders. And one of them mentioned that her favourite way to use this was dripping some into her hands and then pressing directly to the skin. That’s the way I’ve done it and it works for me.
GLOW RECIPE STRAWBERRY SMOOTH BHA + AHA SALICYLIC SERUM – $67.00
This might be a bold claim, but this is my favourite Glow Recipe product, period. This is the only Salicylic Acid serum that I’ve tried that doesn’t irritate my skin and actively improves my skin’s texture. So freaking good. I refuse to be without this now.
GLOW RECIPE PLUM PLUMP HYALURONIC CREAM – $63.00
Dehydrated skin girlies, this is the one for you! The texture of this is so funky. Somewhere between a cream and a jelly. And while it can take a sec to work into the skin, it drinks it right up. I especially love this in the summer paired with a sunscreen to really lock in that moisture. If you have really dry skin though, this might not be enough for you. Glow Recipe needs to launch a super thick moisturiser one day!
GLOW RECIPE PLUM PLUMP HYALURONIC SERUM – $72.00
Do I still have the ear of the dehydrated skin girlies? Good. Because if you’re going to use the Plum Plump Cream, you kinda have to use the Plum Plump Serum along side it! I don’t make the rules, I just write them. But in all seriousness, this is such a bomb Hyaluronic Acid serum. Not only is it loaded with ingredients that will pull moisture into the skin, there are a few bonus goodies that will help with your skin texture. What’s not to love?
GLOW RECIPE WATERMELON GLOW NIACINAMIDE DEW DROPS – $56.00
Well, we are talking Glow Recipe, we have to mention the iconic Dew Drops. I actually don’t use this as a part of my skincare. It’s an alright Niacinamide, but I’ve tried better. Where this shines (no pun intended) is as a super glowy primer. And because this as a bit of tack on my skin, I do notice a difference in my makeup’s wear time.
GLOW RECIPE WATERMELON GLOW PINK DREAM BODY CREAM – $46.00
This is probably the Glow Recipe product that I’ve heard the least about. So allow me to shout how good the Pink Dream Body Cream is from the rooftops! Seriously, this is such a dreamy body cream. There are some AHA’s to help with my skin’s texture. And hyaluronic acid to help draw moisture in. But most importantly, it smells like watermelon. Which is never a bad thing with me.
GLOW RECIPE WATERMELON GLOW ULTRA FINE MIST – $46.00
I mentioned that I’m iffy with toners. But I do love a good mist. And this is easily the finest mist that I have ever tried. Seriously, this feels so light on the skin. I love keeping a bottle of this in my fridge during the summer because it’s so instantly soothing. But I also love it between my skincare steps just to add some moisture to my skin.
GLOW RECIPE WATERMELON GLOW HYALURONIC CLAY PORE TIGHT FACIAL – $67.00
My skincare bugbear as of late has been clay masks that have that intense dry down. I used to love it. I can’t stand it anymore. Which is why this one has shot up so quickly in my favourite mask rankings. The formula is actually whipped, with blueberry seed powder mixed in as a micro exfoliant. And a little bit goes a long way. Best of all, you only need it on for 3-5 minutes for it to do it’s thing. Which is perfect for me as someone who tends to shower later at night.
And those are my Glow Recipe picks! This list could have easily been longer. But these are the ones that I recommend to practically everyone. What are you Glow Recipe faves? Let me know in the comments below.
Cheers and love

Glow Recipe’s bottles are so Instagrammable! I love their packaging. I have only tried the Papaya Sorbet Enzyme Cleansing Balm from them which I love, I definitely want to try more from this brand.

That’s actually one of the few I haven’t tried. I’ve heard mixed things
