Back at the end of June, I did a post chatting about my beauty disappointments of this year. And as expected, I had a bunch of y’all asking me if I was going to be doing a beauty favourites post in the same vein. Now, I did do one last year. But this a post I tend not to do. Only because I’m already so vocal when it comes to my favourite products. I do worry about repeating myself. But, enough of you did ask (and I still want to play with this new Maybelline mascara for a minute longer). So, beauty faves it is! These are five of the products that have truly become necessities in my beauty routine. Let’s get into it!
HAUS LABS TRICLONE SKIN TECH FOUNDATION – $80.00
I won’t lie, I’m not entirely sure that I’m going to find a better foundation than this one this year. Because holy mother, this is phenomenal. From the coverage, to the finish, to the wear time. The TriClone foundation has overtaken the Nars Light Reflecting as my number one favourite foundation. The edge the TriClone has is that it is so much easier to apply than the Light Reflecting. But if you’ve tried the Light Reflecting foundation, you have to try the TriClone too! You won’t be disappointed.
TOO FACED CLOUD CRUSH BLURRING BLUSH in CANDY CRUSH – $46.00
As many of you many of you may know, I have deep in my cream blush era. I have been unable to resist them as of late. So it may surprise you to see a powder blush in my favourites. Until you go to use it and then it becomes clear. This is the best product Too Faced has come out with in YEARS! It applies to the cheeks so easily and it gives the loveliest kiss of colour. Out of the two shades I have, my favourite has been Candy Crush. Which is the most vibrant bubblegum pink. I definitely want to try more shades
KAYALI YUM PISTACHO GELATO 33 – $143.00 for 50ml
This was featured in my Autumn favourites, so I’ll keep this short. This is the fragrance that you will have to claw out of my cold, dead hands! Mona Kattan put her all into this scent and I truly cannot get enough of it.
WISHFUL PILLOWGASM CHERRY GLOW SLEEPING MASK – $54.00
Not gonna lie, I really didn’t expect to like this one as much as I do. It was the texture that initially put me off. But I eventually gave it a go and now I’m obsessed. For me, once it’s on the skin, it feels so soothing. And my skin is noticeably more plump and rejuvenated once I wipe it off. This has been my go to mask on retinol nights to really lock in that hydration.
AUSTRALIS LIP GLAZE – $16.99
My most loved lip product for 2023 for sure! These are just fantastic. They wear beautifully on their own. But I love the shade Glazed Donut paired with a beige lip liner for a quick and easy lip combo. They give that juicy, plumped look to the lips without the need of mint or chilli. And best of all, they are stupid affordable. I hope Australis brings out more shades.
And here we are! I hope you enjoyed this because it was a lot of fun to talk about. Let me know in the comments what your standout products from this year have beenn.
Cheers and love
