You know what? You can have a little empties as a treat. That’s right, it’s empties time once again. Like last month, this is a shorter empties. So, let’s not waste any time!
SKIN CONTROL PIMPLE PATCH – $9.00
I’ve tried a few pimple patches in my time. And yet, I keep coming back to these ones. I just love how thin they are and how well they adhere to the skin. I think I still have most of a pack in the bathroom cupboard. But they are also on special starting Wednesday at Woolies. So, I’ll have to grab another pack.
WISHFUL SKIN GET CLEAN GENTLE FOAMING CLEANSER – $40.00 for 150ml
Not the most full sample that I’ve ever gotten from Huda. So, I can’t really give this a proper review. I will say that it smells exactly like the Yo Glow. Definitely keep that in mind.
BREEZE BALM BEAUTY BLENDER – $14.00*
A little pricey for a beauty sponge. But I did enjoy the shape of this. It has the flat bottom and chiseled edge for baking. And it had a good squish factor. I would actually grab this again
THE INKEY LIST POLYGLUTAMIC ACID – $24.00*
This has been my saviour over the last few weeks with the windy and dry weather. I’ve really enjoyed it. I know that I have one of these in my skincare stash. So, you will see this again soon.
THE INKEY LIST TRANEXAMIC ACID NIGHT TREATMENT – $31.66*
This was a product I enjoyed at first. But ended up not thinking much of it by the end. I’m using a tranexamic acid from Naturium that I’m enjoying a lot more. Also, this stuff smells awful.
THE INKEY LIST 15% VITAMIN C AND EGF – $31.66*
Out of the three Inkey List goodies, this would actually be the one that I would repurchase first. My skin responses really well to Vitamin C. And I noticed a huge difference in my overall complexion after using this consistently for a while. If you have a high tolerance for Vitamin C, this is worth looking into.
FRANK BODY CLEARING BODY WASH – $14.00
Frank Body put their whole Frankussy into this body wash. Dare I say that I liked this more than the Naturium one? In any case, I have already repurchased this and the Hydrating one too.
REXONA CLINICAL PROTECTION ANTIPERSPIRANT DEODORANT – $14.00
We love this. We need this! Also, $14? The fuck?
DAISO PUFF SPONGE DETERGENT – $3.10
Ok, so I may have fucked up a little bit here. I legitimate thought I still had 5 bottles left. I only have two. Thank god I’m going away in November.
DR LEWINN’S INTENSIVE ACTION CAVIAR EYE SERUM – $79.99*
This is one of those products that I got sent in PR, really enjoyed it, and then looked at the price. Yowza, this is expensive. I think I’ll stick to my Inkey List fave.
GUNK OFF CLEANSING BALM – $55.00
Still an elite cleansing balm. It removes the most stubborn of makeup. And in the time since I bought this, Gunk Off came out with a version of this in a shower friendly tube. Which as someone who likes to remove their makeup in the shower, I can truly appreciate. If you haven’t tried Gunk Off, you have to!
ESSENCE ANOTHER VOLUME MASCARA … JUST BETTER – $8.00*
I will admit, I did have to have a peek at my review to remember my thoughts on this one. Which should tell you everything you need to know. I won’t be picking this up in the future. I am, however pretty impressed with the Essence mascara that I am currently playing with. But for more on that, stay tuned!
GOOD MOLECULES GENTLE RETINOL CREAM – $8.00USD
If you’re looking to get into retinol, this is a pretty good jumping off point. It’s 0.1% retinol, so it’s extremely gentle. But my skin responded very well to it. Also, it’s one of the more affordable options that I’ve tried.
And that is a wrap on my empties! I hope everyone had a smashing July. Let me know in the comments what big ticket products you used up in July?
Cheers and love
Emily xo
Great empties here, more hits than misses! It’s good to know The Inkey List Vitamin C serum is a good one. Yep, $14 for a deodorant, yikes! My daughter has the spot patches in her stash but hasn’t tried them yet.
