Happy Tuesday everyone! We are back today with another edition of my bite size reviews. And I feel like this is going to be my spiciest one yet. As I have a ton of thoughts and opinions on these five products. Let’s get into it!
GUCCI POUDRE DE BEAUTE ECLAT SOLEIL BRONZER – $120.00
OK, let’s start with the obvious. There is no way on Beyonce’s internet that I’m going to recommend a $120 bronzer. The only reason I even own this is because I was in a silly, goofy mood a few years back. But as a bronzer in it’s own right, how is it? Kinda mid, to be honest. A little bit of this is user error. I own shade 2. And while it worked for me ok once upon a time, it’s definitely too deep and red toned for me now. But it’s also really powdery and a little tricky to blend. This is one of those ‘little bit goes a long way’ kind of bronzers. And it’s way too easy to go overboard with it. I do endorse the Gucci blushes. But you can give the bronzer a skip.
KOSAS AIR BROW FLUFF & HOLD TREATMENT GEL – $38.00
I tend to have a pretty low bar when it comes to brow products. I don’t like a ton of fibers and I don’t like them to leave my brows crunchy. And luckily for Kosas, it does neither. This is a rock solid brow filling gel. I especially liked it for just combing through to add a little bit of fullness at the front and the tail of my brows. It also contains ingredients that help with brow health and brow growth. And it has one of the better shade ranges that I’ve seen a brow gel have. If this has one negative, I would say that it doesn’t have the strongest hold. But my brows tend to be pretty well behaved at the best of times. It’s also a little on the pricey side. If you can find this on sale, I’d say try it.
ELF COSMETICS HYDRATING CAMO CONCEALER – $12.00
Now this one genuinely surprised me. As I thought the original Camo Concealer was just ok. I really, really liked this one. It’s a medium to full coverage concealer. And the finish was so lovely and natural. I adored this under the eyes as I had minimal creasing with it. But it also worked all over the face. Yeah, I have nothing bad to say about this one. Try it if you have dry skin. It’s affordable and it’s good.
NUDESTIX NUDIES MATTE ALL OVER COLOR in SUNKISSED PINK – $57.00
I’ve spoken about my affection for the Nudies Matte Blushes in the past. So this will be less of a review of the product and more the shade itself. Sunkissed Pink is a newer edition to their Nudies collection. And I can easily say that it’s a welcome edition. I am so in love with this pink. It gives the most ethereal flush of pink to the cheeks. It’s a perfect shade for spring/summer. If you’ve been on the fence about the Nudestix blushes, this is a great shade to start with.
ELF COSMETICS HALO GLOW LIQUID FILTER – $35.00
I figured I would save my most spicy opinions for the end. If you’ve been in the beauty space for any amount of time, you would know that the ELF Halo Glow has been one of the most hyped products in the drugstore. And I picked it up while I was swept up in the hype. You see, this is supposed to be an affordable dupe for the iconic Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter. And after using it for the last two months, I think I’ll be sticking with the Charlotte Tilbury.
First of all, this is shade 2, and it is just so orange on me. Which makes it difficult to wear on it’s own (I wear the HFF in shade 3 and it’s a perfect match). Next, I tried it as a highlight. Nope, way too dark I could almost use it as a bronzer shade. The final straw was wearing it underneath my foundation to maybe boost the glow and even out a shade of foundation that was a little too light. That ended up being a disaster. It caused that foundation (that I have previously worn without incident) to slip and slide all over my face. That’s when I threw in the towel. And it kills me because I really wanted this to work for me. I’m still semi-tempted to pick up one of the newer shades when they launch here. But as it stands right now, this is my biggest let down of the year.
And those are my bite size reviews. As always, let me know in the comments if you’ve tried any of these. And stay tuned for next Friday when I shake up my stash for the end of Spring!
Cheers and love

Some hits and misses here, I love your honesty! Shame about the ELF foundation, I am yet to try that. The brow gel sounds really good.
