Holy moly, y’all I cannot believe that I’ve been doing this series for a full year now! The Shop My Stash series has quickly become my favourite series to do because it gives me the opportunity to test out so many amazing beauty products for you all. And this month’s edit is a bumper edit. It’s easily the biggest stash that I’ve done so far. So, let’s chat about what I’ll be testing for the next month.
Kickstarting with primer. And it’s the battle of the vaguely pink primers! I picked out the CIATE LONDON WATERMELON BURST HYDRATING PRIMER – $45.00* for my hydrating primer and the ELF COSMETICS POWER GRIP PRIMER + 4% NIACINAMIDE – $24.00 as my more grippy primer. The temperatures have been hitting the mid 30’s so my base needs all the help it can get.
Speaking of base, I picked out two foundations that I’ve been meaning to review for a while. The MILK MAKEUP FLEX FOUNDATION STICK – $55.00 is one that I haven’t heard much about. But I’m always down to try a stick foundation. The KVD VEGAN BEAUTY GOOD APPLE FOUNDATION BALM – $76.00, however, was one of the most divisive products of last year. I’m very keen to give it a go. Expect reviews in the coming weeks.
Moving into concealer now. And I’ve picked two of the more hyped up ones of the moment. The TOWER 28 SWIPE CONCEALER – $38.36 was one that I picked up as soon as it launched. And the shades are perfect for highlighting. The NATASHA DENONA HY-GLAM CONCEALER – $49.00 was bought because of peer pressure. So many people have been hyping it up. The shade I have is maybe a little dark for brightening (if I like it, I do plan on buying a lighter shade). But underneath my eyes on bare skin, it a perfect match. It’s a great option for my no makeup days.
My Rare Beauty testing period is still going strong. I have the RARE BEAUTY ALWAYS AN OPTIMIST SOFT RADIANCE SETTING POWDER – $44.00 in my stash this month. I also have the brand new (and I mean brand new) HUDA BEAUTY EASY BAKE AND SNATCH PRESSED POWDER- $47.00 as my pressed powder to play with. Finally, for my base, we have a returning favourite. The MILK MAKEUP HYDRO GRIP SETTING SPRAY – $62.00. I do want to attempt to use this up because I am super close to finishing it. And before anyone asks, I like the spray but I hated the packaging. Which is why it’s in the Charlotte Tilbury bottle.
Getting into some eye products now. And for the first time, I’m including some eyeshadow sticks into my stash. Specifically the RARE BEAUTY ALL OF THE ABOVE WEIGHTLESS SHADOW STICKS – $39.00. I have the shades Well-Being (soft pink) and Contentment (bronze). I will also be using the newly launched RARE BEAUTY BROW HARMONY PRECISION PENCIL – $34.00 for the brows. Again, I bought this because of peer pressure. But the tip on this is one that I know I’m going to like
Now, the big one, mascara. And anyone who saw the Sephora event back in August will know that it’s been a big few weeks for mascara launches. For this month, I’ll be playing with the HUDA BEAUTY ONE COAT WOW! VOLUMISING MASCARA – $39.00 and the BENEFIT FANFEST MASCARA – $48.00. Both of these have a ton of hype. Expect these reviews soon.
It’s also been a big few weeks for bronzer. I had to grab the new OXX COSMETICS BRONZE BALM in FAWN – $6.00 because it has been all over my FYP. Plus it’s supposedly a dupe for the Makeup By Mario. I also chucked in something more familair, the NUDESTICKS NUDIES MATTE ALL OVER FACE BRONZE COLOR in BONDI BAE – $57.00. If the OXX doesn’t work out, at least I still have this. I also haven;t used a powder bronzer in a while. So I grabbed out the TRIXIE COSMETICS FLOWER POWER BRONZER in PEACE OUT POPPY – $55.00. This bronzer is huge and pigmented..
Finally, we have blush. And I kinda just said ‘fuck it’ with this category. I pulled out four to play with this month. For powder, we have the PATRICK TA MONOCHROME MOMENT VELVET BLUSH in SHE’S SINCERE – $52.00 and the MECCA MAX CHEEK CRUSH POWDER BLUSH in GUAVA BLOSSOM – $22.00. And for creams, we have the RARE BEAUTY STAY VULNERABLE MELTING BLUSH in NEARLY NEUTRAL – $39.00 and the FENTY BEAUTY CHEEKS OUT FREESTYLE CREAM BLUSH in PETAL POPPIN – $35.00.
Whew boy. Like I said, this month is going to be a big one. I hope to have all of the major reviews out and live before the 22nd of November (I head to Sydney for my holiday then. Consider this the official announcement for my readers). And as always, let me know in the comments what you would like to see me feature in a future bite size reviews.
Cheers and love
Emily xo
