We all know the drill by now. People buy things. Those people tell me about the thing. I buy those things and then tell you all about them. It’s a vicious cycle and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Let’s get into the products y’all inspired me to pick up.
FRANK BODY GLYCOLIC BODY SCRUB – $25.00
RECOMMENDED BY – Hannah Collingwood English on Instagram
Truth be told, up until recently, I’ve always preferred acid body washes over body scrubs like these. But after a particularly brutal autumn/winter, my skin desperately needed the physical exfoliation too. I remembered Hannah singing the praises of this one earlier in the year. So, after waiting an eternity for it to come back into stock, I picked it up and gave it a crack.
MY THOUGHTS – 2 tubs later, this might be my favourite body product of all time. I am dead serious. This has made such a difference in my skin’s texture. My scarring and cat scratches have healed so much more smoothly. My chicken bumps have drastically reduced. I have a lot less bacne. I will never be without this stuff. Not to mention, at $25, it’s really inexpensive for how good it is. My only beef is that it does sell out often. So, I always try to stay stocked up.
HOLME BEAUTY PRIMER in BANG – $65.00
RECOMMENDED BY – Minnie @ MinnieMakeup on Instagram
I’m not 100% sure when Holme Beauty first popped up on my beauty radar. But they went from zero to everywhere right quick! Some of the blogger friends that I trust the most were raving about the entire range. With the gorgeous Minnie speaking high praise about the primer. And well, you already know what happened next.
MY THOUGHTS – Calling this ‘just a primer’ is kinda underselling it. This is a primer, skin tint, highlighter, and moisturiser all rolled into one. And I can’t get enough. The closest comparison to this would be the Hollywood Flawless Filter in that it gives a glow. But it isn’t metallic or glittery. It’s very natural and it wears extremely well. While it wears beautifully under makeup, I actually love it best on it’s own and applying a light amount of cream bronzer on top.
SUMMER FRIDAYS LIP BUTTER BALM in VANILLA – $38.00
RECOMMENDED BY – Matt @ DirtyBoysGetClean on Instagram
There are two things I can always count on Matt to do. 1) make me nostalgic for the 90’s. 2) convince me to spend close to $40 on a lip balm. And he did exactly that with the Lip Butter Balm’s from Summer Fridays. Rarely does a week go by where he isn’t praising these balms.
MY THOUGHTS – And he is so right to praise them. Not only do they smell utterly delectable. They are also some of the most nourishing lip balms on the market. The formulation is actually closer to a cream than a balm. Which means it has a slightly longer wear time on the lips. I especially love these at night as a lip mask. And yes, I will by buying that iced coffee set when it launches.
RARE BEAUTY LIQUID TOUCH FOUNDATION BRUSH – $51.00
RECOMMENDED BY – Bianca Hill on Instagram
This one is a little bit of a callback. Back in part 8, I mentioned that the wonderful Bianca was a fan of the Rare Beauty foundation brush. And I thought that was one that I had. Unfortunately for me at the time, it was actually the concealer brush that I owned. But now, I do have the foundation brush…
MY THOUGHTS – And it’s amazing! I know, this whole post has been a love fest. But I do love it when my purchases work out for me. The big draw for me was the size of the brush. It’s actually smaller than a lot of the foundation brushes that I have. And because it’s so angular, it is able to reach the contours of my face more effectively. I want 10 more of these brushes for sure.
OAKCHA X PAUL REACTS MISS GIRL EXTRACT DE PARUM – $81.00USD
RECOMMENDED BY – Paul @ PaulReacts on TikTok & Instagram
I’ve been following Paul and his perfume recommendations over on TikTok since last year. And he has such a wealth of knowledge when it comes to fragrances and notes and ingredients. I just love him and everything that he represents. So, when he collabed with the fragrance brand Oakcha to create his own fragrance inspired by MFK’s Baccarat Rouge and Tom Ford’s Lost Cherry, I had to have it immediately.
MY THOUGHTS – So, I bought this back when it launched in mid June. It arrived early July. That’s around 3 months of use. You sadly cannot tell from this picture, but the dent I’ve put in this perfume since it arrived? I mean? It’s incredible. I have to force myself to use different perfumes, I love this one that much. On me, the cherry note hits the hardest. But I also get the sandalwood and vanilla. If you hate Baccarat Rouge, I reckon you might like this. It’s different enough that it might not be too much. If you hate Lost Cherry though, maybe get a sample first. The cherry note is very strong.
And that’s a wrap on this post! I hope you all have an amazing rest of the week. And I shall see you on Friday!
Cheers and love

It is so satisfying when a recommendation from IG works so well! I will be telling my daughter about the Frank Body scrub for sure.
