Bellabox First Impressions – October 2023

I know, I know. I said I was done with this series back in August. I had literally ended my subscription the day I edited that post. Then I saw the hero product for the October box. And the first words that came out of my mouth were ‘fuck, guess I’m resubscribing’. So, this is a once off. I have since reunsubscribed. But for old time sake, let’s go through what I got in my October box.

SKINCEUTICALS SILYMARIM CF – $242.00
OK, Bellabox. If you want to rope me back in, this is a good way to go about it. Everyone knows that Skinceuticals makes the best Vitamin C serums. They are multi-award winning and are scientifically backed. The only reason why I’ve never got around to trying them is the price tag. So, to get one and only pay $22.95 is mind blowing! I won’t use this yet as I already have a Vitamin C serum that I’m using (it’s the one from L’Oreal. Really good drugstore option). But stay posted for when I do.

BLISTEX FIVE WAY LIP PROTECTION WITH SPF 20 – $4.49
See, this is the Bellabox that I remember! I’ve gotten three of these lip balms throughout the years and I hate them. Blistex just doesn’t work for me. I’ll stick to Ultra Violette. They hydrate, smell good, and have SPF 50

AVENE SUNSCREEN LOTION SPF 50+ – $34.99 for 100ml
I’ve tried a lot of sunscreens in my time. But somehow Avene keeps escaping me. So, I’m glad I get the opportunity to try. Now, If memory serves me right, this is the eye stinging one. I remember someone on IG mentioning that. In any case, I’ll take this with me to Sydney to test that out. I’ll get maybe 2 uses.

MOR JARDINIERE ORANGE FLOWER AND LAVENDER HAND BALM – $29.95 for 100ml
Well, opening this was a waste. I detest the smell of lavender in all circumstances. I still wanted to give this a sniff, hoping the orange blossom was the more predominant scent. As soon as I did, I regretted it immediately. I don’t quite know what to do with this now. My mum hates the smell too. My sisters can’t use anything with strong fragrances. And I can’t donate it because it’s open.

I HEART REVOLUTION DONUTS EYESHADOW PALETTE in STRAWBERRY SPRINKLES – $14.00
I won’t lie, I not only thought that I already had this palette, I thought that I had already donated this palette to the nieces. Fortunately, it is different. And I will say that I like this colour story a lot more than the Raspberry one. I’m very into red/maroon tones for the eyes right now.
