So, you’re all probably wondering why I’m only just now getting into my August BellaBox review. Especially considering that the September boxes are out as well. Long story short, my first box went missing, the lovely folks over at BellaBox sent me another and because it takes forever for mail to get to me, I’m only just now able to do this review. Anyway…
The August Box is themed around the idea of ‘Beauty Reset’, getting your skin and hair ready for the warmer months now that winter is finally over. And there are a lot of awesome goodies that I’m very excited to try out. So with further ado, lets jump right in!
MELLOW COSMETICS PRECISION LIQUID PEN EYELINER – $22.50
I’ll be honest, I wasn’t all that excited when I heard that this was one of the featured products in this box. Mostly because I simply don’t use liquid liner. I have two different shaped eyes and liquid liner accentuates that difference. I’ll probably still use it though. The tip is quite fine and it is very rich in black pigment. Hopefully I can find a way to make it work for me.
SAND & SKY PINK CLAY FLASH PERFECTION EXFOLIATING TREATMENT – $59.99
On the exact opposite end of the enthusiasm spectrum, I was so excited to see this in the box. The Sand & Sky mask is easily one of my favourite clay masks and I’ve been dying to get my hands on this to try. This will get used very quickly I suspect.
LA ROCHE POSAY TOLERIANE CARING WASH – $26.95
La Roche Posay makes amazing skincare and I’ll never turn down a chance to try something new from them. This is especially convenient for me because I have noticed my skin leaning a bit more dry than usual.
COCO & EVE LIKE A VIRGIN SUPER NOURISHING COCONUT AND FIG HAIR MASK – $64.90
I’m still yet to find a hair mask I love as much as the Evo Hydrating mask. But I am definitely intrigued about this one. It contains coconut (a scent that permeates the whole box) and fig essence, both of which are supposed to sooth and hydrate your hair. I’ll be trying this one out soon.
CANVAS BEAUTY ROSE OTTO HYDRO GEL MASK – $69.00
A hydrating gel mask that tones, firms and moisturises? Consider me intrigued! This will almost certainly end up in my holiday skincare bag (as have many BellaBox items) because I see this being fantastic for settling my skin after flying.
*BONUS* REVLON YOUTH FX FILL AND BLUR PRIMER – $29.95
I go through pore filling primers like water and I’m always happy to try new ones out. I haven’t heard that much about this one, but the fact that you are supposed to use it on your neck as well is interesting.
