After the two longest months of my life, I’m finally ready to shop the ole stash and chat about the products that I’ll be testing out during February and March. I’m getting this up early because my Singapore trip is coming up (next week!). And while I won’t necessarily be taking makeup with me on this trip, I wanted this stash ready to go for when I came back. As is becoming tradition, we have a mixture of old and new in the stash. And a handful of exciting reviews in the pipeline. Let’s get into the stash.
Let’s kick this off with face products. I’m pulling out some primers that have been neglected in my collection as of late. The AUSTRALIS FRESH & FLAWLESS PRIMER is a good one for hydration and soothing the skin. And the RARE BEAUTY ALWAYS AN OPTIMIST PORE DIFFUSING PRIMER is supposedly good for smoothing out the skin. I also chucked in the MECCA MAX OFF DUTY GLASS HIGHLIGHTING STICK for those low/no makeup days. I also like it under my lighter coverage makeup.
I have two massive foundation picks that I’ll be reviewing. Everyone and their mother has been raving about the RIMMEL LASTING FINISH 35hr FOUNDATION. So, I have to try it. And I’m finally, FINALLY getting around to reviewing the NARS SHEER GLOW FOUNDATION. This foundation is an icon of the beauty world and I can’t believe it’s eluded me for this long. These reviews will go up over the next few weeks.
For concealer, I’m falling back onto some old faves. The DIOR BEAUTY FOREVER SKIN CORRECT was recently reformulated, so I would love to use this up to justify getting the updated version. I also have the NARS SOFT MATTE CONCEALER back in the stash. Such a banger concealer. I also grabbed out the L’OREAL INFALLIBLE MORE THAN CONCEALER to use for the first time in a while.
For powders, I’m sticking with the drugstore. AUSTRALIS FRESH & FLAWLESS PRESSED POWDER and the MAYBELLINE FIT ME LOOSE FINISHING POWDER. Both are icons that have featured here before. For setting spray, I kept out my CHARLOTTE TILBURY AIRBRUSH SETTING SPRAY. However, I have it in the Rare Beauty bottle because the sprayer on my CT bottle broke suddenly. Has this happened to anyone else?
Time for eyes and brows. My brow picks are both repeats. The ELF WOW BROW and the MAYBELLINE ULTRA SLIM BROW PENCIL. I will also be pulling in the odd single eyeshadow from time to time. For this edit, I went with the RARE BEAUTY STAY VULNERABLE LIQUID EYESHADOW in NEARLY NEUTRAL for my neutral pick. And the AURIC COSMETICS SMOKE REFLECT EYESHADOW DUO in ENTICE for a fun green shade.
Now, at the time of writing, I only have one mascara in my stash. That being the LYS COSMETICS LASH CONFIDENCE MASCARA. I genuinely didn’t know that I had that few mascaras left to review. So, I will definitely be on the hunt for some more. Stay tuned to my Instagram for my second mascara pick.
By sheer coincidence, my bronzer picks are all affordable options. I have two creams, the TRIXIE COSMETICS TRIXIE STICK CREAM BRONZER in SUNNY BUNNY and the ELF COSMETICS PUTTY BRONZER in GOLDEN DAZE. And two powders, the MAYBELLINE CITY BRONZER in COOL MEDIUM and the ESSENCE SUN CLUB MATTE BRONZING POWDER (which I am now just learning might be discontinued)
Let’s wrap this up with my blush picks. I also have two creams and two powder. But this time, I went a little bougie. For the creams, I chose the VIOLETTE FR BISOU BLUSH in LOUISE and the AUSTRALIS DEWY & DARING CREAM BLUSH in PIXIE DREAM GIRL. I’ve used the Australis cream blushes in my stash before, this just happens to be a new shade. And for the powders, I have the TRIXIE COSMETICS BLUSH in TOTAL BETTY and the TOM FORD SHADE & ILLUMINATE BLUSH in EXPLICIT FLUSH.
And that is a wrap on the stash! A smaller stash this time. But lots of cool newbies to play with. Have an awesome week, y’all!
Cheers and love
Emily xo
