Wow, it seems like just yesterday that I was doing my January empties. Partially because February really did fly by. And partially because I skipped a few weeks on here. In any case, it’s time for my February empties. A bit of a baby one this month (it was a shorter month). But I did manage to finish some big ticket items that I’ve had in my stash for a minute. Let’s get into it!
MECCA COSMETICA FRESH FACED HYDRATING HYDROGEL SHEET MASK – $16.00
I used this the night I got back from Singapore. A collective 10 hours on a plane was not kind to my skin. And this was the hint of nourishment that it needed.
LOOPS DOUBLE TAKE GLOW MASK – $11.00
This one, on the other hand, I’m not so sure of. First of all, out of all of the hydrogel masks that I’ve tried, this is the thinnest (I accidently managed to puncture it with my nail). It also sat on my face weird. And it was a little on the soppy side. Which I don’t mind with traditional sheet masks. But with hydrogel, it was an unpleasant sensory experience. I might stick to the Mecca Cosmetica ones if I want to use hydrogel. Or shoot me your suggestions in the comments.
NATURIUM MULTI-BRIGHT TRANEXAMIC ACID TREATEMENT 5% – $44.00*
This one is a declutter. I’ve had this in my cupboard for ages. And while I did use it often, I found that it just wasn’t doing much for me. Naturium has a ton of incredible skincare in their line. But I might skip this in the future.
GARNIER MICELLAR CLEANSING WATER – $7.50
Another Singapore empty. Though, full disclosure, I did finish this the day I’m writing this. The Garnier Micellar Water is a classic. Maybe number 2 in my rankings. And fun fact, this is on sale right now at Woolies this week for half off!
GLOW RECIPE WATERMELON GLOW PHA + BHA PORE TIGHT TONER – $27.00
I’m probably in the minority of people who actually like this toner. I don’t use it every night. But I do bring it out when my skin is gunky and cranky.
ESSENCE FIX IT LIKE A BOSS TRANSPARENT BROW FIXING GEL – $5.50*
I am gutted to see this go. It’s such a fantastic brow gel. Great amount of hold without leaving my brows feeling crunchy. And at less than the price of a coffee to boot. I definitely want to grab this again.
ELF LASH N ROLL MASCARA – $18.00
Another absolute banger that I’m sad to have finished up. This was the mascara that I was using between reviews. And it wears so well. This might well be a top three drugstore mascara, I like it that much.
DEDCOOL FRAGRANCE NUMBER 01 TAUNT EDP – $51.00
I went through some incredible products this month. And this is the one that I’m the saddest to see go. This was a Best In Beauty winner for 2023. I flew through this and I will be buying the full size soon. I never want to be without this perfume.
HERO COSMETIC MIGHTY PATCH HYDROCOLLOID PATCHES – $13.00
Another Best of Beauty winner. Fantastic adherence to the skin and they pull out so much gunk. Definitely recommend
GUNK OFF CLEANSING BALM – $55.00
Talented, Brilliant, Incredible, Amazing, Show Stopping, Spectacular, Never The Same, Totally Unique. Need I say more?
THE ORDINARY GLYCOLIPID CREAM CLEANSER – $20.00*
It might surprise you to know that I don’t usually go for milk/cream cleansers. It’s not because their bad or anything. It’s just that gels are my first choice. So, I was pretty psyched to give this a go from The Ordinary. And y’all? It’s pretty great! I used this as a second cleanse and it was great for getting anything that my first cleanse missed. All the while leaving my skin soft and nourished. I would pick this up again.
