Happy April, everyone! I hope you all had an amazing Easter. I spent mine eating chocolate and watching the 90’s X-Men animated series (gearing up for the reboot). So, all in all, a pretty chill time all round. But I’m back with my March empties. And this is a pretty bumper empties. I have skincare, body care, hair care, and makeup here. let’s dive on in!
MECCA MAX BEAUTY BULLET FLAWLESS SPHERE – $10.00
I found Parker playing with this. Which means it’s time for it to go south. Fortunately, I already have a back up. As this is my new favourite sponge by far. It’s not too bouncy, not too firm, and it’s only $10.
PIXI VOLUME SHEET MASK – $20.00 for pack of 3*
This was fine. I’ve used these before. And they didn’t irritate or break me out. So, I count that as a win. Probably wouldn’t get them again though as there are other sheet masks that I enjoy more (La Roche Posay, hook a sister up!)
SEPHORA NOURISHING & SOOTHING SHEET MASK – $10.00
Good mask. A little on the small side. My issue with this is that I found the scent EXTREMELY distracting. Like, it has a strong cocoa butter scent. And I’m chubby, so anything chocolate is dangerous around me.
QV FACE NURTURING NIGHT CREAM – $24.99
The first of the Singapore empties for this month. I probably would have used this up in February had I remembered to put it back in my bathroom. In any case, this is a lovely night cream that I would probably purchase.
BRIOGEO FAREWELL FRIZZ SMOOTHING SHAMPOO – $48.00 for 236ml AND CONDITIONER – $48.00 fr 236ml
This was the haircare range that I took with me. I enjoyed it enough. But when it comes to Briogeo, I vastly prefer the Don’t Despair, Repair or the Super Foods range. The leave in conditioner in this range, however, I love!
DERMAL THERAPY SENSITIVE SKIN WASH – $21.99 FOR 1.1lt
And this was the body wash. Honestly, Dermal Therapy can do no wrong. This body wash rules!
BONDI SANDS SUNNY DAZE HYDRATING SPF 50+ FACE FLUID DROPS – $24.99
*TGA Declaration: Purchased Myself* Now, I bought this at the tail end of December when it launched at my Coles (we take forever to get anything). I had used it up completely by the beginning of March. And lest you think I took this with me to Singapore. No, this stayed home. I used this up in like 8 weeks. And I was using other sunscreens during this time. So, while I do recommend it and say that it’s a good sunscreen, just be aware that it runs out quick.
PURE FIJI HYALURONIC 8 HYDRATION BOOSTER – $65.95*
Another interesting one. As I’m about 95% certain that this has been breaking me out. Every time I tried to incorporate this into my routine, I would get new spots in areas where I don’t usually break out. I suspect it’s the fragrance that my skin doesn’t like. Which isn’t usually a problem for me.
BEAUTE PACIFIQUE MULTIPLE ACTION EXFOLIATING CREME – $89.00*
Now this was almost a disaster. I was using this once a week on a fairly regular basis. It’s a spicy, chemical based exfoliant that I wore as a mask. But when I put it on one night, it immediately felt off. Seconds later, my face felt like it was on fire. Not willing to risk fucking up my skin again, I rinsed it off and slathered my face in Cicaplst Balm. I wouldn’t get this again.
ESSENCE DOUBLE TROUBLE MASCARA – $8.50*
This was just fine. My success rate with Essence mascaras is extremely hit and miss anyway. So, as long as it didn’t smear anywhere, I’m fine with it.
EVERYDAY BY FRANK BODY NOURISHING BODY WASH – $14.00
Loved the scent of this. But I like the Clearing Body Wash the best still! I have the Brightening one in my shower now that I picked up from Coles(!)
L’OREAL ELVIVE BOND REPAIR SHAMPOO – $18.99
I’ll say the same thing that I said about the conditioner. It’s good. I just like Olaplex better. My wallet wishes I liked this more. But thems the breaks!
GUNK OFF HYDRATING GEL CLEANSER – $52.00
They really put their whole Gunkussy into this cleanser (I am so sorry, Amy). But seriously? This stuff is fab! Wonderfully hydrating and leaves my skin cleansed and soothed.
REME BEAUTY G-HYDRA CLEANSING GEL – $47.00*
And finally, another absolutely phenomenal cleanser. Definitely want to pick this up again because it was so soothing on my skin. (please don’t make me choose between these two! they are both fantastic!)
And that is a wrap on the ole empties! I hope you enjoyed them. And as always, let me know what you used up in the comments.
Cheers and love
Emily xo
