Skin tints have been the new hotness for a minute now. And it’s easy to see why. They are such a great option for those who want to look put together without a ton of coverage. Many brands have released their own versions over the last few years. But Fenty, being the game changers that they are, went a step further. Not only do they have a standard liquid skin tint (review coming soon), they also released a skin tint in a stick form. Which, in theory, would be perfect for those on the go. But how does it work in practice? Well, let’s find out!
FENTY BEAUTY EAZE DROP BLUR + SMOOTH TINT STICK – $52.00 – sephora.com.au
*25 Shades Available*
Like most stick foundations, the Fenty Eaze Drop Stick is housed in a cylindrical style tube packaging. The tube is white and partially opaque with metallic gold detail. The tube itself is made of 100% recyclable plastic. So once I’m done, it can be added to my recycling. Which I think is pretty great of them. The Eaze Drop Stick is cruelty free and contains 9g of product.
Again, like a lot of stick foundations, the Eaze Drop Stick uses a twist up to dispense the product. The twist doesn’t take a lot of effort to use. Which is great for those who have mobility issues. One thing I really like about this is when you’re close to finishing, there is a mechanism that will push up the rest of the product from the internal holder. Meaning that this is the first ‘no waste’ foundation stick that I’ve seen on the market.
Another somewhat unique thing that came with this was the addition of a cap to put on the top of the tube. This will not only help with the longevity of the product, it’s also an added insurance in case the cap pops off in your bag.
The Eaze Drop Stick has 25 shades. And they have actually made it quite easy to find your shade in this line. If you know your existing shade in the Pro Filt’r Foundation range, you can use the guide on the Fenty Beauty website to find your corresponding shade in the Eaze Drop Stick line. For instance, I wear Shade 150 in the Foundation line. So, the shade that was recommended to me in the Eaze Drop Stick was Shade 2. Described as being Light with Neutral Undertones. It’s a good match now that my skin is getting paler (winter girl vibes). But during the summer, I would prefer maybe a shade deeper.
I feel like, up to this point, I’ve talked a pretty picture about this skin tint. Unfortunately, this is where the good vibes stop. Because we have to talk about actually wearing the skin tint. Let’s start with application. I had a really, really hard time getting this to even look good at first. Texture wise, it has a lot of slip to it. And it has a slightly waxy feel on the skin. I could not wear anything underneath this. I had to do my sunscreen at least 30 minutes prior to applying this otherwise it broke down completely. I found I had the best success with using a sponge and really pressing the product into the skin. And even those results were often questionable.
The Eaze Drop Stick is described as being a light buildable coverage with a skin like, natural finish. And, I guess it’s not wrong. My issue isn’t with the coverage. It’s very much with how this skin tint feels on the skin. Which is kind of dreadful. The waxy feel made this feel very heavy. Almost to the point of it being smothering. It was also very clingy on my dry patches. And oh boy, this does not like powder on top. I tried quite a few of my lighter powders and even those made this stuff look even more cakey than it already did.
But let’s get to the all important question. How does it wear? Umm, not well, my friends. This is one of the rare cases where I looked much better in the After picture than I did IRL. This skin tint has a nasty habit of breaking down after a few hours of wear. Especially around my nose and chin area (I have a picture below that is a better example). As I previously mentioned, setting this with powder was difficult. And when I felt my oils break through on the warmer days, I often would often just wipe the makeup off rather than add more powder to my face. It also had an uncomfortable, sticky feeling on the skin that I noticed the longer I had it on. And it really did sink into every line, cling to every dry patch, and highlight every bit of peach fuzz on my face. It actually drove me nuts to wear this.
Well, that above picture really does say it all. The Fenty Beauty Eaze Drop Blur + Smooth Tint Stick might be my least favourite skin tint to date. A truly bad experience to wear and my first flop of 2024. Unless you have angel perfect skin that leans normal, I would avoid this. And if you’re oily, run as far as you can. Have you tried the Fenty Beauty Eaze Drop Blur + Smooth Tint Stick? Let me know in the comments below. And let’s hope that the Liquid version is better!
Cheers and love

Oh man I’m sad… let’s hope the liquid plays nicer
Knowing that you’re younger, this might play better with your skin.
Ok interesting! I always wonder how a tint will play when it has to stay in stick format. I will say I like a lot about Fenty but the base products I’ve tried have just not been an easy use. I feel like they definitely cater towards a specific skin type and whatever it is, it’s not mine.
I’ll always vouch for the original Pro Filt’r foundation. But this was a pass
