I have a question for you. Do you like makeup reviews? Of course you do, you’re reading this! And it’s your lucky day. As I have five fab products that I’ll be reviewing today. All of these actually came from my most recent stash. And all of these were requested by y’all. So, let’s get into it!
MILK MAKEUP MATTE BRONZER in BAKED – $42.00
Let us begin with the product that I’m the most divided over. Because on the one hand, the formula of this is legitimately fantastic. Good amount of pigment and super blendable. I also love how diverse the shade range is (Baked is the second shade in the line). And despite the diminutive size, you actually do get a respectable amount of product out of it. Which leads me to my issue. I’m 99% sure I’ve managed to break the packaging. For the life of me, the end will not twist up and it keeps falling off. Meaning I can’t get anymore out of it. And I’ve hit the point where I’m scrapping plastic against my skin when I apply it. If anyone knows how to fix this issue, let me know in the comments. I like this too much to ditch it.
MILK MAKEUP COOLING WATER JELLY TINT in CHILL – $44.00
I won’t lie, I bought this purely because of the gimmick. I mean? There was no way that this was actually going to be good? Right? Yeah, the Cooling Water Jelly Tint’s are pretty phenomenal. So much so that this shade in particular was actually a last minute cut from my Autumn favourites. I found this so easy to use. I actually went in directly on the face and then bounced it out with a sponge. That easily got me the best finish. And once it’s on, it’s on! The wear on these is spectacular on both the cheeks (my preferred way to wear) and on the lips (this shade with a clear gloss? Stunning). I’m seriously tempted to get the two shades that I don’t have.
LOUNGEFACE BROW BUILDER in BROWN – $36.00
Loungeface is currently 2 for 2 when it comes to me liking their products. The Brow Builder is a fantastic (and if you ask me, underrated) brow gel. I call it a gel, the formula itself is more of a gel/cream hybrid. It has enough pigment in the formula to fill in the brows. But the formula has enough hold to keep them in place without having my brows feel crunchy. I also love how teeny tiny the brush head is. And the fact that it’s slightly tapered at the tip means I can be precise with my placement. Definitely recommend this one.
ELF COSMETICS PRIMER INFUSED BRONZER in FOREVER SUNKISSED – $14.00
I’m always on the hunt for a well performing, affordable bronzer. And this one from ELF has seriously impressed me. The shade is more of a neutral/warm tone. It doesn’t lean too orange on me. It’s not the most pigmented bronzer I’ve tried. But it builds up really nicely. And despite it being billed as a matte bronzer, it’s not a flat matte. It has a very natural, skin like sheen to it. I do wish that there were more shades available (this was the only shade available in Australia that I could see). Hopefully they come out here soon.
GLOSSIER STRETCH BALM CONCEALER in LIGHT 2 – $41.00
Well, what a time for me to talk about this one! Full disclosure, I had this picked for this post BEFORE the Mecca announcement came out. And I do plan on doing a full(ish) One Brand Recommendations on Glossier on July 16th. So, what I’ll say now is that this is an excellent pot concealer. I thought this would be more comparable to the Nars Soft Matte Concealer. But this has more of a natural, skin like finish to it. And I especially like this under the eyes. Which I can’t say about the Nars. It’s not self setting. But it wears really well throughout the day. And for a brand that is known for it’s ‘clean girl aesthetic’, I was shocked by how pigmented this was. I could get this pretty close to full coverage easily.
And that is a wrap on my Bite Size Reviews! I hope you enjoyed them. And as always, if you spot something in a previous stash that you want me to talk about, just shoot me a message. Have a great week!
Cheers and love
Emily xo
