One of my favourite past times as of late is scrolling through Instagram and seeing what beauty products my friends are using. What’s getting the buzz? What are people loving? So, when the incredible Minnie Makeup mentioned that the Extreme Length Tubing Mascara from The Kind Collective was her latest mascara obsession, I immediately took notice and added it to my cart. We all know that I love a tubing mascara. And this one reportedly gives great length while being smudge free. Best of all, it’s less than $20! So, what do I think of it? Just keep reading.
THE KIND COLLECTIVE EXTREME LENGTH TUBING MASCARA – $16.00 –

Starting with the packaging, the Extreme Length Mascara is housed in a sleek, tube style package. The tube is a soft, light peachy pink with dark grey detail. The plastic is hard with a shiny finish. Despite the low price, the packaging does feel quite luxe and well made. The Extreme Length Mascara is vegan, cruelty free, and contains 10g of product (which they clearly wrote on the packaging, thank god!).
The brush head of the Extreme Length Mascara is one that I often see for tubing mascaras. It’s a molded brush head, with longer bristles towards the center of the brush. It allows maximum product to be dispensed toward the center of the lashes. The brush itself is a good length, not too long and not too wide. But, because I must be a picky bitch, I do kind of wish that the tip was a little narrower so I can reach my inner lashes more easily.
Let’s chat about the formula. It’s your fairly stock stand tubing formulation. Though I will say that this is actually a touch on the dry side. It combs through the lashes easily enough. And because it’s drier, I can easily build up the formula on the lashes without it getting clumpy. We also have a few fun ingredients for the lashes here too. The formula contains Rosemary, Macadamia, and Avocado oil to help condition and strengthen the lashes.
So the name of the game for the Extreme Length Mascara is, well, extreme length. And while I will say that I got some really nice length, I do have to confess that it took a bit of effort to get there. First of all, thank goodness that this formula is buildable. Because I didn’t get much off of that initial first swipe. In fact, it took 2-3 coats to get my lashes looking really good. But the important thing is that I did get them to look good. Very good, in fact. And while length is in the name, what I really have to commend this mascara for is lift and separation. It doesn’t quite give the same wispy effect that my beloved Whip Lash Mascara does, but it does make my lashes look full and fluttery without looking to overdramatic. And I can’t be mad about that.
Which brings us nicely into the wear test. Now, regular readers will know that when it comes to tubing mascaras, the one big thing I always look out for is flaking. And as you can see in the picture on the right, I do have a trace amount of flaking under my eye. Not enough to be bothersome, but it was still there. I do consider flaking to be part and parcel when it comes to tubing mascara. Something to do with how they dry on the lash. I did also note that my lashes were drooping a bit at the end of the day. But otherwise, this wore very well.
My only real complaint is that this mascara is a pain in the butt to remove. Normally with tubing mascaras, you are supposed to add water to the lashes and the formula slides right off like a tube. But this one you really need to soak off for a minute or two before you rub it off. Otherwise, you’re losing a lash or two in the process. And in a first for me, this one can come off a little smudgy.
All in all, I do give the Extreme Length Tubing Mascara my recommendation. Is it my newest obsession? Not really. But it’s a great option for natural makeup days. And at $16? You really can’t beat that. So, yeah, definitely worth picking up to me. Have you tried the Extreme Length Tubing Mascara from The Kind Collective? Let me know in the comments.
Cheers and love
