When I did my Mascara call out back in February, I received so many incredible recommendations from you all. But there were two mascara’s in particular that were recommended from multiple people. The first was the Loungeface Mascara, which I reviewed back in March. The other was the newly released (at the time) L’Oreal Panorama Mascara, which I’ll be talking about today. This has been one of buzzier drugstore mascara releases as of late. And I certainly have my thoughts about it. So, let’s talk Panorama!
L’OREAL PANORAMA MASCARA – $32.99 – chemistwarehouse.com.au
We’ll start with packaging. The Panorama Mascara is housed in a lightweight, metallic gold tube. The name is embossed on the tube itself and there is black detail. It’s very much in line with the other mascara’s in the Volume Million Lashes range, which the Panorama is the latest iteration of. I also love how luxe the packaging looks. I’m a sucker for metallic gold packaging. The Panorama Mascara contains 10.5ml of product,
The wand for the Panorama Mascara is a molded bristle brush that is flared at the base, but straightens up towards the tip. The bristles are a combination of long and short and they are evenly spaced. One thing I like is that the tip is on the smaller side, making it a good option to reach my inner lashes.
2024 has been a big year for tubing mascaras. And the Panorama Mascara is another one to the list. Interestingly, though, this is a much drier and waxier formula than I’m used to seeing with tubing mascaras. This has a very quick dry down. But the pigment is there and very noticeable on my lashes. The formula also contains a few of the lash benefits that we tend to see with mascara’s these days. Panthenol and Propanthenol for lash conditioning, it also has Bamboo Extract to help protect the lashes as well.
But let’s get into the wear of the Panorama Mascara. Here’s the thing, L’Oreal has historically done well in the mascara department. The OG Volume Million Lashes and the iconic Lash Paradise spring to mind. The Panorama Mascara has blown both of them out of the water for me. I was so immediately taken by this mascara. It ticked all of the boxes for me. Length? Check. Volume? Check. Curl? Check! But the thing that impressed me the most was the lift and separation. It made my lashes look almost doll like. And despite this being, as I mentioned earlier, a drier formula for mascara, it still layered extremely easily. I was able to get two coats on without things sticking together or getting excessively clumpy.
But how is the overall wear? Pretty good, y’all! Again, this is a tubing mascara, so we are working with slightly different parameters in terms of judging it’s wear (i.e. this is a no smudge or transfer zone). The two big things I look out for are flaking and drooping of the lashes. And while I will admit that there was some droop, it’s a lot less than I’ve experienced with other tubing mascaras. The big thing for me, though, was the no flaking. I thought, surely with this being a drier formula, that I would get the telltale crumbies on my face. But nope! This stayed on my lashes for 12 hours with no budge.
Y’all, I think I found a new winner in the drugstore! The L’Oreal Panorama Mascara gets an enthusiastic thumbs up from me. And a wholehearted recommendation. If you want a mascara that you can chuck on and not worry about, this is the one for you. Have you tried the L’Oreal Panorama Mascara? Let me know in the comments.
Cheers and love
Emily xo
