It might be Spring, but I do my cleaning all year round! That’s right, it’s empties time again. And I have some pretty stellar empties to talk about this month. Let’s get into it!
HERO COSMETICS MIGHTY PATCH – $13.00
I have to say, I’m still really enjoying these. Their sticking power is unmatched out of all of the pimple patches that I’ve tried. I do wish that they came in a pack that had assorted sizes. I had an eyebrow pimple that was a little too big for these patches.
MECCA MAX BEAUTY BULLET FLAWLESS SPHERE – $10.00
It’s decided, this is my favourite beauty sponge. I love the shape, I love the firmness. It’s not too bouncy, it doesn’t leech colour when you clean it (can you tell I’ve recently been using an OG Beauty Blender. Stay tuned for that rant). Every time I place a Mecca order from now on, this will be in my cart.
NAKED SUNDAYS CABANA CLEAR SPF 50 SERUM – $42.00*
*TGA Declaration – sent in PR* Literally the last thing I emptied in August. As the declaration says, this was sent to me by the lovely folks at Naked Sundays. So, if I repurchase it in the future, then you know how I feel.
GLOW RECIPE AVOCADO CERAMIDE MOISTURE BARRIER CLEANSER – $46.00
Second tube finished. This is still my favourite evening cleanser. One thing I will note is that they did listen to mine and everyone else comments about the packaging. The hole is a little more restrictive and no long allows a heap of excess product to gloop out. Which is great! I will purchase this again for sure.
GLOW RECIPE CLOUDBERRY ESSENCE TONER – $63.00
This one, on the other hand, I might not. It’s not a bad product by any means. But it wasn’t anything special. It also took me forever to get through.
MECCA COSMETICA REPLENISHING NIACINAMIDE SERUM – $55.00
This was my birthday gift from Mecca. I’ve always liked the Mecca Cosmetica serums. But they are a little pricey for my blood. So, I probably won’t repurchase. I do have my eye on the Mecca Max version though.
BY ROSIE JANE LAKE EDP – $50.00 for 7.5ml
This was once a top five fragrance for me. But it has slipped in my mental rankings as I’ve tried more and more fragrances. It’s still beautiful. Very light, autumnal vibes from this. I probably will pick up the mini again.
REVLON COLORSTAY XTENSIONNAIRE WATERPROOF MASCARA – $24.95
This probably should have been in my empties last month. But I’m bad at remembering to put things in the empties box. This was one that I sadly didn’t get a chance to revisit before now. But I remember enjoying this quite a bit when I was using it. I also remember it being quite difficult to remove. So, when I do pick this up again, I’ll endeavour to get the non waterproof.
THE 7 VIRTUES CHERRY AMBITION EDP – $44.00 for 10ml
Now this is a top 5 perfume for me. Jesus, The 7 Virtues really cooked with this. It’s sweet, it’s juicy, it has a hint of floral, and it wears so incredibly well. I want to get the 50ml ASAP. Expect to see this in the year end favourites.
TOWER 28 MAKE WAVES MASCARA – $33.00
This is my second tube of Make Waves. And I’ve held onto it for a long time for reference purposes. But now that I can BUY TOWER 28 AT MECCA!!! (we so won), I can finally retire this. By the way, it’s excellent. Get it.
FRANK BODY GENTLE CLEANSING OIL – $26.00
Before I get into my thoughts, wow, did not realise just how much Frank Body I went through this month. In any case, this was nice. Broke down my makeup easily. No real complaints save that I felt like I went through this pretty quickly. Haven’t repurchased yet.
FRANK BODY HYALURONIC ACID BODY SERUM – $30.00
This, I have repurchased. It’s such a banger in Frank’s line. It pairs well with my moisturisers and it smells amazing to boot.
FRANK BODY TRIPLE ACID BODY WASH – $32.00
This was a like, not a love. Again, I felt like I went through this pretty quick. And I feel like I get the same results from my Salicylic Body Wash (also from Frank). And that is less than half the price. I’ll keep buying the Glycolic Scrub until I’m dead, but I’ll probably skip this unless I can get it on sale.
FRANK BODY CHARCOAL BODY SCRUB & MASK – $22.00
Speaking of me forgetting empties, this probably should have been in my May empties (whoops). I am a fan of this. Especially when my back is breaking out. I also find the scent to be very nostalgic. I do wonder whether they would consider revamping the packaging to make it in line with their other creamy body scrubs. That would be cool.
And those are the August empties! A pretty decent wrap up of products, if I do saw so myself. I hope you all have an amazing rest of your week. And I’ll be back on Tuesday.
Cheers and love
Emily xo
