Emmie’s Empties – October 2024

Posted on November 5, 2024November 4, 2024 by emmiesbeautylifeadmin

Halloween might be over, but I have some fun treats in store for my October empties. I have skincare, hair care, and a little bit of makeup for good measure. Let’s get into my thoughts.

HADA LABO MOISTURISING FACIAL SHEET MASK – $6.95
I’ve used quite a few of these up this year. They may have even overtaken the La Roche Posay ones as my favourites. The fact that they are half the price definitely helps. Whenever I place an Adore Beauty order, expect to see one of these.

DR DENNIS GROSS ALPHA BETA UNIVERSAL DAILY PEEL – $146.00 for 30 treatments
Absolute icons. Used them while I was on my Townsville trip to help with post plane skin.

VEGAMOUR GRO REVITALIZING SHAMPOO – $79.00 for 236ml & GRO REVITALIZING CONDITIONER – $79.00 for 236ml
And this was my holiday hair care. A little pricey for me to rush out and buy. But I enjoyed it for the sample.

DERMAL THERAPY ACNE SPOT CREAM – $19.99
Such a banger of an acne cream. Very light, but extremely effective.

THE BODY SHOP GINGER SCALP CARE SHAMPOO – $18.00
You know how I mentioned I was in Townsville recently. Well, this was the shampoo I took with me last time I went to Townsville. In 2022. I am embarrassed. Also, The Body Shop’s brand of greenwashing can bite me.

SEPHORA COLLECTION BIG BY DEFINITION MASCARA – $27.00
Did the review. Was pretty underwhelmed from what I remember. Get the Love The Lift mascara if you’re going to get one from SC.

KHIEL’S RARE EARTH PORE CLEANSING MASQUE – $71.00 for 125ml
Pretty generous little sample, if you ask me. And it did a good job at clearing put my pores without feeling super tight on the skin. Probably wouldn’t rush out and get though.

TBH SKINCARE NO SCRUBS HYDRATING MAKEUP REMOVING JELLY – $32.95
I can honestly say I’ve never tried a gel cleanser like this before. It had a true jelly texture. But once you added water, it turned into milk. And it broke down my makeup with ease. If I have one nitpick, It’s that I do feel like I went through this very quickly (I bought it mid August and I was already using another balm cleanser at the same time). Perhaps a jumbo size for holiday?

CAUDALIE VINOPERFECT – $113.00
Absolute magic in a bottle. I credit this for clearing up my dark spots and hyperpigmentation. I will definitely be buying another bottle.

HAIRIFICATION PURE GROW SHAMPOO – $25.00
Y’all already know how much I love this range. Expect to see the conditioner next month.

HOLME BEAUTY GOLDEN HOUR GLOW SETTING MIST – $55.00
Sets and adds shimmer. What more can you ask for from a setting spray?

CHALON MANDARIN & BAIL HAND WASH – $10.00
I normally don’t add my hand washes to my empties unless they’re bougie. But I wanted to address this one because I’ve seen a ton of people get it in PR. The hand wash itself? Lovely. The pump? Garbage. Way too digressive, no matter how delicate I am. And it gunks up really quickly. I’ll be sticking to my peasant hand washes in the future

REXONA CLINICAL PROTECTION in SUMMER STRENGTH – $14.00
The aluminum salts won’t hurt you, people. Use the damn deodorant.

KOTIA EXFOLIATING CLEANSING MILK – $28.00*
The texture, I will admit, initially threw me off. But I really grew to enjoy this one. Especially on mornings when my skin needed a little extra love.

KOTIA PURIFYING TONER – $28.00*
I don’t really have strong opinions about this one. I ended up decanting it into a spray bottle so I could mist it all over my face. It didn’t burn my skin off. So I’m counting that as a win.

KOTIA REGENERATING NIGHT CREAM – $75.00*
Yes, this jar looks like hell. That’s because I dropped it like a hundred times. But it’s a damn good night cream. Extremely nourishing for my changing season skin. I would actually consider getting this again.

And those are my empties! A pretty good line up, if I do say so myself. Have an amazing week!

Cheers and love
Emily xo
